There are learning theories with regards to health behavior that can play an important role in ensuring that we have healthy ways. This theory helps us understand the nature of targeted health behavior (Schmid 69). They will help understand the dynamics of the behavior and the effects of external influences. The following theories are helpful in health promotion.

1. Explanation theory – this is the theory of the problem and identifies why the problem exists. For example, a type of disease that will to a certain type of sickness.
2. Change theory- This theory tries to evaluate the problems and look for a possible cause of action. This will look into the pathology of the disease and look for the best medicine.

The main goals of health promotion are to reduce health risks and optimize health and productivity while lowering health-related costs. The worksite health promotion creates a culture that will foster motivation and the overall health of individuals.

Creativity plays an important role in health and well-being.  Creativity derives from the biological changes of human evolution that are needed for survival. The therapeutic benefits of creativity perform an active search that will deal with occupational health promotion (White 37). This will lead to the development of new models such as a contemporary health model that will help in improving health promotion.
