Extract of sample "Nursing as a Preferred College Course"

My ultimate goal is to become an RN nurse with related goals of attending college to achieve the qualification to allow me to reach my ultimate goal.  A related goal is to follow nursing as a financially and personally rewarding career.

Attending college will not only allow me to gain a qualification in nursing it will also improve my level of knowledge and further improve the amount of education that I have received.  A college education will make me a better-educated and more employable person.

I met the criteria set out by the donor as I have the relevant qualifications to enter the RN Nursing course at college.  The criteria will also be met as I have the dedication and commitment to make full use of my knowledge and hard work to complete the course successfully.

I have the ability to learn large amounts of complex information and techniques quickly and accurately to complete the nursing course with the highest grades possible.

There are other ways in which I meet the donor’s criteria for having the RN nursing course at college funded by them. I have the experience, commitment, and skills to complete tasks within tight deadlines in often-pressurized environments or situations.  I have the experience and the skills to complete work effectively either by working by myself or working as part of a team.  Such qualities will prove very important in my quest to succeed in completing the RN nursing course and becoming an integral member of any medical team that should wish to employ me after I have qualified.  Other qualities that I would bring to college work and eventually the medical and nursing professions include being meticulous in ensuring that my work meets the highest educational, medical, or professional standards that can be achieved.

Therefore to conclude sponsoring my RN nursing course at college would be a sound and sensible investment of the donor’s money.  I will use all my skills, commitment, and time to become a highly effective and competent nurse that will be an invaluable addition to any nursing team.  To do this will mean the fulfillment of my personal, professional and educational goals. It will also start my career in the profession that I have always wished to join. I have the drive and determination to succeed in these goals and will not let the opportunity to do so slip once or when the donor should decide to sponsor me rather than anybody else.
