Running head: Constructing the Written Evidence-Based Proposal Constructing the Written Evidence-Based Proposal Insert Insert Grade Insert Tutor’s Name 20 September 2011 Outline Abstract Problem description Solution description Implementation plan Evaluation plan Dissemination plan Abstract The construction of written evidence-based proposal by nursing students should appraise research critically to enable them to practically apply the knowledge in solving clinical problems in the community.
Nursing students also need to participate in evidence-based practice and research through their ability to identify clinical problems, utilize knowledge, and analyze the information critically for synthesis and utilization of research information among health care workers. The students also influence data collection method and the collection of the data to be applied in solving clinical problems. Research involves a variety of levels in advancement of knowledge that already existed. A more advanced research level involves the creation and generation of new knowledge through development of theories.
Constructing the Written Evidence-Based Proposal The capstone project is more concerned with evidence-based practice proposal that aims at providing quality solutions to problems in the community through practical applications. Nursing students have to apply evidence-based practice proposal to improve the communities’ healthcare through finding solutions to clinical problems. Clinical problems form the basis of the importance of baccalaureate students undertaking the task of researching on evidence-based knowledge and critically analyzing the information for the intended purpose, after which the analysis is synthesized and applied in solving clinical problems with appropriate decision-making process on the evidence-based practice aspect.
The proposal generally demonstrates the knowledge and skills that have been gained by baccalaureate students in the studies. Moreover, the baccalaureate students have to be efficient in exercising managerial responsibilities in offering quality clinical solution, providing several dimensions of clinical problems such as its historical background, its impact on the community. Problem Description Clinical solutions are generated as a result of critical analysis of evidence-based literature with regards to the issue in question.
The proposal seeks to highlight the knowledge concerning problems in practice, and synthesize the evidence-based proposal into a practical solution of the matter. The capstone project aims to synthesize the knowledge and utilize the findings that may be presented in presentation and written form. The proposal comes up with solid findings from the synthesis of particular elements that form the basis of quality clinical solutions in health care. The objective of the capstone project proposal is to develop knowledge to be practically applied by the baccalaureate students in the services of healthcare practitioners.
It is important that the practical clinical solutions arrived at should ensure that quality health care services are provided by qualified medical practitioners. Currently, the evidence-based capstone proposal is applicable among medical institutions in the community and more so, the proposals are supported by recognized institutions such as the Institute of Medicine. The Institute of Medicine has come up with nursing reports concerning the evidence-based proposal to support the aspects of clinical problems.
Solution Description The evidence-based proposal of the capstone project critically outlines solutions that have been developed by the health care practitioners and states the specific issues that are involved. The proposal outlines clearly, the aspect to be put into consideration when sourcing, reviewing, and concluding the knowledge findings with relation to the situation on the ground. The evidence-based proposal is an essential part of nursing courses, since health care services in the community concern the practical use of knowledge to diagnose diseases and treat, rather than the theoretical part of knowledge.
Therefore, baccalaureate students need to gain research knowledge to strengthen their skills in selective utilization of evidence based clinical solutions that would be of help in their clinical practices (American Nursing Association, 2006, p. 8). The knowledge of clinical problems is described critically, and solutions and unique problems that have not been concluded are analyzed and highlighted for further research and evidence search. The evidence-based proposed solution needs to be clearly outlined on its applicability in the health care institutions, as well as how solution to the problem was arrived at through the application of theories in research.
The clinical problem solution from the evidence-based proposal should also be in line with cultures, community, health organization, and available resource with which the solutions are practiced. Implementation Plan The evidence-based proposal contains the means with which the proposed base solution should be implemented in health care institutions by medical practitioners. After the evidence-based solution has been implemented on one case, the outcome is reviewed for determination of solutions validity and relevance in nursing.
Resources required to implement the evidence-based solution is important for the success of the practitioners in health care. Moreover, there needs to be a clear plan on solution implementation with regards to the stated resources, environmental and applicability variations. The implementation plan must also be supported by reports of institutions of medicine. Evaluation Plan Evidence-based proposal needs to put into consideration each step, and inclusive aspects followed to come up with solutions.
Each step must also be thoroughly completed and information with regards to the implementation process included in order to avoid project outcomes shortcomings as a result of field applications. The baccalaureate program should also ensure usage of current literature by professional and experienced writers and practitioners. In addition, there must be a written guideline on the means of collecting data showing the outcome of solution implementation. Dissemination Plan The outcome of the evidence-based proposal is disseminated through effective ways of communication for utilization by nurses to deliver professional diagnosis and treatment services.
The communication process needs to focus on disseminating practical and tangible evidence concerning the findings and outcomes in health care institutions. Effective ways of communication mainly include publications and public presentations in forums and professional gatherings, while professional feedback channels are outlined for practical applications.
