Introduction The Mozart’s work has explored the use of musical exoticism in defining his characters. The distinction between characters has thus been made via the use of musical exoticism based on the dramatic and musical exoticism. Therefore, the paper showcases how Mozart’s has successfully distinguished between his characters in the opera via the musical exoticism and dramatic elements. This has helped showcase or revealed the character traits of his characters in an interesting way making the audience follow through and masters the contribution of each character all to the end of his masterpieces.
Therefore, in this essay, I will showcase the significance of applying musical exoticism to reveal the characters based on their behavior. Therefore, through this discussion, I will also showcase how Mozart has portrayed the differences between Turkish and European characters particular in the masterpiece, Die Entfurhrung aus dem Seraail. This will particularly reveal how the two set of characters differ as people and move further to showcase the extent such differences depict stereotypes as well as an assumption about Turkish and European which are greatly reinforced in the music.
Finally, the paper showcase how Mozart musical tropes inform his violin concerto free from words and characters.BodyThe author has brought out the subliminal message that depicts the stereotypes of Turkish that was passed via the Turkish style based on the instrumental music. The people of Turkish are depicted as promiscuous individuals who valued sexuality. This is how the Turkish characters differ from the European as the European views them as Islamic polygamy. Another difference in that the Turkish like violence as compared to the European and these are showcased in the operas based on the musical exoticism and dramatic element.
The Turkish characters always give constant threats to their fellow characters, and this clearly reveals their degree of violent. We see how the Turkish characters attempted to subjugate European female to be submissive. There was a great restriction in the music industry, and Mozart masterpieces brought freelance musician that was then riskier but greatly rewarded them as Mozart had vowed for a new patronage. Mozart works therefore mainly told passion and violence as well as the antically the Viennese stage.
Therefore, through his works, the musical industry restriction become less restricted as he could perform in public concerts to speak on the topics that affected people. He managed to speak to the people through the unspoken words but via the violin and even managed to convince the majesty to accept freedom of the musician and not to restrict by courts.ConclusionThe decision by Mozart to use the musical exoticism and dramatic elements has greatly helped him to successfully distinguish his characters.
