To prove his adequacy and relevancy in music art, he has won Gleason ward in 1995, participated in the society of American music in 2003 among other honorable participations.
To Seeger, 1994 was a successful year. He released the ‘Third annual farewell reunion’ album, which featured many soloists. The album was so influencing and thus made him win a Grammy award in the folk song category. Seeger chose both the best artist as well as instruments to incorporate in his singles. For instance, in ‘east Virginia blues’ mike incorporated the soft voice talented Ralph Stanley and jack Cooke. He played mandolin and ensured that its pitch is a bit higher than the voices hence producing the best quality. The message in this song was simple and straightforward, and thus incorporating matching instruments was the only way to capture the audience’s attention. Notably, east Virginia blues exemplary success was no different from James’ ‘at last’. However, James used a guitar, to bring about the songs rhythm. With a soft voice, James maintained the guitar voice low and stressed on delivering the message using the lyrics. Apart from the guitar, a piano and some backgrounds beats made by the producer, James never included any other instrument.
