Reading Response In studying the article, I found that our voice is not merely ified as soprano, alto, tenor and bass. Other in-depth methods of classifying voice include the range plus timbre of the voice and contralto. I also learned the effect of vowels on resonance. Moreover, the ability of our voice to effectively function when modulated properly caught my interests. I realized that appropriate modulation of our voice can serve as the best musical instrument for anyone in the music industry.

The article also had a range of ideas that reinforce my personal musical experiences. The article enabled me to develop a better understanding of virtuoso as used in the musical context. It also facilitated my understanding of how the various parts of the human body are involved in the control of our voice and specifically which voice register pop singers usually utilize to produce a high pitch in their songs.Additionally, I have learned various concepts and vocabulary about music that include the role of pitch in determining the type of voice that an individual produces.

Furthermore, my knowledge of the concept of resonance as used by singers to increase the loudness and the distance that sound can travel has been strengthened.Besides, I learned interesting concepts such as vocal registers and phonation and their role in modulating the quality of the voice, the concept of placement and belting technique. The historical development of the piano provided the basis for the appreciation of the current piano technology and how different pianist revolutionized the music industry.

However, the article left a number of questions in my mind. Is it possible for anyone to exceed 4 Octaves? Is there any effect of exceeding that level? Does a minimum period exist before one can blend chest and head registers?
