Your full full July 12, Minimalist Visual Artists and Composers It is true that entertainment mediums such as television, multimedia art, and youtube have become so prevalent in today’s society that we tend to dismiss the merit and artistic content. If I have to provide an example that moved me positively or negatively, that would be of Steve Reich’s ‘The Desert Music’. The music is a true reflection of the minimalist music in all aspects may be because the pioneer of the minimalist music developed this music.

In this music video, the things that made my mind flow with the flow of the music included use of same beats, use of single pulse and rhythm, repetitive and simple harmonies, and use of static instrumentation. Repeated chords, use of excellent orchestral music, and harmonic progressions in this music video show that the composer has truly stuck to the basics of the minimalist music. The music composition has been able to move me positively towards admiring minimalist art and music. Before hearing this music, I had a very different perception about the minimalist music.

I used to think that minimalist music is a boring kind of music. However, after hearing this music composition, I have started liking the concept of minimalist music as this composition has provided me the best orchestral music experience of my life.Link for the music compositionhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHMBoDoFwj0
