Though separate entities the Europol and Interpol work together to create a safe environment with no or minimal criminal report (Eurpol, 1). There is an annual report review for the Europol community, which informs the stakeholders of the agency’s report operations and the achievements as per that year.
The report entails the measures and procedures adopted to curb criminal and terrorist attacks by member states. Europol reported a major event in the year 2011 whereby it moved to its latest headquarters, the report recorded the movement of staff members and workings to the current building (Europol, 1). The movement was handled in a way that their existing records remained intact as it was a calculated move. The move focused on a proactive and developmental ideology of technology and ways of acting towards crime for proper law enforcement practice.
Interpol held a congress with police offices and legal experts from fourteen countries and territories; to determine the reason of launching an international criminal records office and how to bring separate procedures of handling criminals together (Interpol, 1). World War I made it impossible to achieve such measures. This prompted the second international police congress who met in Vienna, Australia in 1923, which led to the beginning of Internal Criminal Police Commission (ICPC). The Second World War encouraged the revival of International Police Cooperation, which took place in Brussels (Interpol, 1).
It is worth noting that crime is not limited to one area, and is caused by globalization.
