Planning schedule for mixing will be based on the availability of materials in building division and the schedule for building will be based on the materials availability in curing. So planning people will prepare the schedule based on the shortage of materials in each division. If car tires available for curing are less, the building division must produce that tire first. Then for some time they may require to produce truck tire and again they may force to come back to the car tire production as per the planning schedule for them.
But for convenience and to increase divisional production the building division may produce the whole car tires planned, first, which will affect the curing divisional production (When building continues producing car tire alone, truck tire curing presses may not get tires for curing and thereby it will become idle and the finished goods production will be affected. Planning executive must control and ensure that no schedule violation taking place in any of the division in order to ensure maximum production of finished goods.
Control process start with the establishment of the performance standards followed by the comparison of actual performance with the desired performance. The third step in control process is the corrective action based on the comparison. For example, real estate companies often establish a performance standard before they start any of their projects. They will analyze the work in progress periodically and will compare the percentage of work completed in a fixed time interval against the actual works planned for that period.
If they found that the planned percentage of the project has not been completed, then they will take measures for speeding up the project. Control is a dynamic and cybernetic process. We cannot implement control beyond certain limits. Limitless controls often result in negative results. But whatever the control exercised must be dynamic. For example, it is not
