as an individual and a professional but the wider implications of having a mission in life, are much more meaningful and have widespread influence on his life. It is for these very reasons that I had identified certain goals and objectives for myself so that I would be able to acquire necessary knowledge and experience that would facilitate in my personal and professional growth. Therefore, once those goals were identified, I had set myself a timeframe within which to reach those goals. Initially I set myself four major goals which would help me acquire knowledge based education and help me in developing skills and professional expertise.

These modules of personal growth are designed to add value to our personality helping us to evolve into better person and professional so that we would be able to meet the challenges of the time with equanimity and confidence. The first two goals basically consisted of gaining knowledge in areas that help me to improve my grades in the school examination. Hence acquiring proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, 2007 and English language became my priority. Setting a timeframe of one month and three months respectively, for the two, I realized that though I was able to meet time schedule for Excel, three months for English language was not sufficient.

Excel, being a computer package comprising of working on worksheet, was relatively easy because statistics was my favorite subject and learning the finer details of the packages was easier. The books and the CDs really helped in understanding the fundamentals of the package and one month was sufficient for me to master the basic concept of Excel and work independently on it. English language was an all together a different matter. English was not my first language so it was pretty difficult, in the beginning to learn the delicate nuances of its grammar.

In fact, it took me nearly 2 and half months to learn the grammar part of the language. Then again, learning new words was easy but
