Martin Luther Kings “Letter from Birmingham Jail” has thus done its bit at striving to justify the desperate need for peaceful direct action, the total wickedness of unfair laws jointly with what a just law is and the increasing likelihood of the Negro resorting to extreme disorder and carnage. Henry David Thoreau opens his essay ‘Civil Disobedience’ with the motto that government is best which governs least. His disbelief of government takes its basis from the propensity to be distorted as well as being abused before the people can in point of fact articulate their will through the very same.

A case in point is the Mexican war, which lasted from 1846 to 1848 and that entailed slavery into the new US territories, arranged by a small elite class of individuals who had influenced the government to their advantage against common desire. Leadership is an attribute of personality, which enables a person to supervise, control and command his subordinates. It is certainly a personality trait and cannot be exhibited by everyone. We see many examples around that some people are inborn leaders.

They know how to influence and impulse masses. They have got that charisma which is required to be a successful leader. Not everyone can become a leader; effective leadership requires some personal as well as general characteristics. Leaders need to be reinforced by a deep commitment to listening intently to others. A good leader should be completely aware of the problems facing by his subordinates and also about the internal and external environment of organization. At political level, listening the agenda of other people, especially opposition and makes them feel that they are being considered.
