Extract of sample "A Reflection of the Film Helvetica by Gary Hustwit"

The film Helvetica by Gary Hustwit solely focuses on graphic art, specifically typography, graphic design as well as the world visual culture. The movie takes a stand on the proliferation of a particular typeface whose birthday was celebrated in 2007. In this film, Gary provides an examination of how typography directly affects human life in various dimensions of life. To accomplish this, Gary focuses on major urban areas and the prevalent type in each of these areas. The type in each of the cities is brought to the viewer's knowledge through a fluid discussion between renowned designers who discuss their work in the movie.

In these conversations, one can understand the ideas behind the creative designs as well as the aesthetic value of the models as perceived in particular cities. From my point of view, I think Gary's film is a milestone in provoking the world to develop a keen eye on typography, design advertising and more importantly communication. It shows the importance of the above areas of type in our lives. Gary suggests that these fields can be perused as excellent careers by engaging renowned designers in conversations who talk about a great deal of success they have achieved.
