Admissions/ Applications Essay al Affiliation) Reasons for transfer and the objectives I hope to achieve Current I am enrolled currently to Parsons in the New School of Design. My majors are Design and Management. However, I am planning to transfer to Eugene Lang collage where I would like to take Culture and Media as my majors (Shermis & Burstein, 2013). Reasons for TransferI once attended a talk organized by the school management, which was addressing the importance of doing something that an individual loves.

I believe that I will only excel in something I am enthusiastic about and something that I love. Since 7 years old, I have been building my skill and talent on acting, singing and dancing. I have managed to retain this particular passion to the present day. In most of the cases when I have had a dark day, I seek refuge in singing, dancing and acting (Shermis & Burstein, 2013). I am more affiliated to cinema studies as opposed to the business course that I am currently pursuing. The film and cinema industry is in need for natural talent.

It is an industry based on creativity and imagination as opposed to doing routine work formulated and documented. I love studies that challenge my creativity and I can be the sole initiator of the things and activities that I may desire (Shermis & Burstein, 2013). I like to be involved in activities that I may have a direct influence over as opposed to guided routine schedules. Film and cinema studies are solely dependent on the individual touch and effort, put in by the artiste. The resultant outcome can be attributed to the talent that the artiste has put in and all the credits always go to the person who has made it possible for the piece to become excellent (Shermis & Burstein, 2013).

In the cinema and films field, the artiste’s name therefore becomes bigger than the work produced. It guarantees a faster growth rate in the industry as opposed to business.Design and management may have elements of a personal initiative and associated outcome. However, it will guarantee me a white-collar job that is less fun. I seek to transfer and pursue something that will challenge and provoke me from my comfort zone (Shermis & Burstein, 2013). I seek something that is more industrious and based on content and creativity.

Objectives I hope to achieveI hope to nurture my talent in singing, dancing and acting with the aim of doing it to the professional level. Many block basters are out in the pool seeking to identify natural talent in the movie industry. There are numerous opportunities with other well-established professionals having their own mentor programs to share secrets and skills involved in the industry (Shermis & Burstein, 2013).I hope to be the best in my class out of my in born talent as opposed to forced reading and schedules.

I believe that excellence is bred from something done out of passion. I aim to venture more into acting, dancing and singing, to be a professional in this particular field. I also intend to look for mentors in the field who can help me perfect on my skills and help me gain more industrial and professional experience (Shermis & Burstein, 2013).ReferencesShermis, M. D., & Burstein, J. (Eds.). (2013). Handbook of automated essay evaluation: Current applications and new directions. Routledge.
