A deeper analysis of his views has to be given to better understand how Deming’s views have affected quality management. According to the profound knowledge system, Deming states that, change is inevitable if outcomes are to be achieved. In essence, the current management style has to undergo a kind of metamorphosis and since a system cannot recognize its faults on its own, it requires a perspective from someone outside of it for there to be any real change.

There has to be a change at the individual level that is discontinuous. He states that at the individual level, the individual must experience change emanating from a deep understanding of the entire system. Once the change is achieved, the individual possesses new meaning to events, life and social interactions. According to Krol, when the individual gains a complete understanding of the system, he becomes able to apply the principles learned in every aspect of his life. Additionally, the individual can have a foundation for his decisions and metamorphosis of the organization/firm where he plies his/her trade.

Once the individual has mastered the profound knowledge system, he is able to be a leader, become a good listener, be a good teacher and have the necessary skills to adopt new systems of doing things that are more efficient and easy (Krol, 2012). The system advocates all managers to possess four basic parts of the system of profound knowledge. The first part is possessing knowledge on psychology that pertains to knowing the concepts of human nature.
