The wealth accrued does not follow racial divide because it cuts across the races, making the Brazilian society unique. The blacks in Brazil make up a larger population almost half of the whole population. Their population is not in many sectors of the economy especially in the media industry. Compared to the US, Black in Brazil has tried to occupy positions in various sectors improving the county’s national outlook. Media industry in Brazil has a different representation and show a considerable degree of discrimination compared to other countries based on population percentages (Tenenbaum and Driscoll 45).

Representation of the Afro-Brazilians in media has not improved because of several factors that affect the representation. The employment of the afro-Brazilians in bans and media industry has been poor. For instance, Humberto Adami has brought civil class action suits against five leading banks in Brazil. The suit was in relation to the problem of unequal employment opportunity especially in relation to racial representation. Of the 70000 employees in the leading banks, only 2% of them are black.

The percentage compared to the national black population, the blacks constitute over 50% of the population, but the data of their population have been modified to suit the political class (Hildebrant and Bunch 56). The media industry is not different for the banks approach because of ownership and perception issues. The media companies are by the European families who control the recruitment process leading to poor representational recruitment. The difference between media in the US and Brazil is on the enactment of the affirmative actions and equal employment act.

In America, the equal employment act has ensured discrimination at the work place based on ethnicity and race is. The major problem with Brazil leadership structure is on the perception of the white ruling class. They believe that it is their right to inherit or have the best positions in
