There is a family curse which plays a significant role in the movie and Sherlock Holmes as expected solves the mystery and settles everything down, without him things surely would have gone haywire. This movie was released in the year 1988 but it managed to capture the imagination of the audience and was well appreciated by the audience. Sherlock Holmes by Robert Downey Jr is a very recent movie, it was released in the year 2009, this movie is an action mystery movie and it has a lot of suspense in it which makes it really intriguing.

There are a lot of murders that take place in Sherlock Holmes by Robert Downey Jr which also makes it a gory movie but this particular movie was nominated for several prestigious awards which go to show that it lived up to the expectations of the audience and perhaps exceeded it.
