The reason behind that is the truth about Islam, the simplicity and most importantly divinity of it. Producer/director Michael Schwarz beautifully narrates Muhammad’s story and its influence on regular Muslims and their perceptions about everyday life. The paper discusses three real life characters Kevin James, Daisy Khan and Jameel Johnson, their association with Muhammad’s teachings and how this influence transformed their lives. Importance of this documentary is also discussed and it is highly recommended to other viewers irrespective of their religion.
Kevin James is a convert to Islam. He is a Chief Fire Marshall from New York Fire Department. Despite his belonging to a diverse background, he drew to Islam because of its humility and humanness. Due to strong affiliation with Muhammad, Kevin feels deeply inspired by Muhammad’s teaching of welfare and common good. Allah asks Muslims to take care of your fellow men’s rights first and then His because He is not going to forgive any disregard for people’s right. Kevin highlights Muhammad’s teaching of serving people in order to serve God as the main reason for his joining fire fighting department .He narrates that Prophet asked people around him, do you love your creator?(If so) Serve your fellow man first. It is beyond any intellectual debate and discussion as Muhammad simply asks to serve people if one wants to serve God. This is about practical life, society and welfare.
By working as fire fighter, Kevin thinks that there is no other noble way to serve people except risking his own life for saving others’. It is an Islamic way of giving back to society. Kevin is living and serving as Muhammad taught. His love for Islam keeps him motivated as firefighter.
