This was done begrudgingly by Marx, though after he had to transfer schools at the request of his father due to his poor grades, Marx began to focus more on philosophy and history, hardly paying any heed to law. While at school, Marx surrounded himself with various sociological and philosophical influences, which prompted him to write a variety of poems and essays based on life. He was heavily influenced by the works of Immanuel Kant and Voltaire, which is something that can be noticed by Marx’s own works.

While in school, Marx was part of the group known as the Left or Young Hegelians, a group that consisted of radical thinkers. It was during his association with this group that Marx developed the basic concept of historical materialism, which is the study of society and economics in regard to history. These concepts eventually caused Marx to believe against the lectures presented to him by the Young Hegelians, thus prompting Marx to consider alternative views to society, religion, and the truth behind it all.

As Marx grew older and spent more time studying and trying to understand the political and economical world around him, he eventually found himself playing a large role in the formation of communism and socialism. It was during this journey that he helped to create one of the most well-known documents in history, the Communist Manifesto. This manuscript was officially published on February 21, 1848. Commissioned by the Communist League and written by both Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, the Communist Manifesto become one of the world’s most influential political manuscripts.

The Communist Manifesto provides an analytic approach to the historical and current class struggle and the problems of capitalism. The Manifesto also shows favor with the implementation of Communism into society and economics. The Manifesto was
