Extract of sample "The Traditional Tawheed Interpretation of Tawheed and Vicegerency"

The Traditional Tawheed Interpretation of Tawheed and Vicegerency on the Introduction to Islam presented the basic theoretical framework for Islam primarily that Allah is the one and only God. Further, the concept of duality emphasized reality as two natures: God, the creator and non-God, the creation.  The other concept that was discussed was the concept of ideation, which is the ability to comprehend through faculties of understanding. Accordingly, the six faculties of understanding were outlined as memory, imagination, reasoning, observation, intuition, and apprehension.

The second part of the presentation focused on vicegerency defined as the position, function or authority accorded to a person who is appointed by a ruler or head of state to act as an administrative deputy (Tawheed, 18). Its relationship between vicegerency and tawhid was likewise explained with its building blocks being clearly discussed as being created from a single pair to growing into nations and tribes as time went on.
