ays of thinking are applied in certain spheres (such as management, technological processes, advertising etc), they may be efficiently used in order to solve daily problems. Persuasive thinking is based on the fact that a certain message/situation in one context has a certain degree of value, which is lost in another context (Glazer, 2004). The point is that every person endows certain messages/situations with subjective values. Nevertheless we’ll try to apply persuasive thinking to solve the following problem: a girl parts with her boyfriend.
She suffers greatly and doesn’t know how to get rid of her sorrow and mournful thoughts. With the help of persuasive thinking she’ll easily reach her goal. First of all it is necessary to restore in her memory something unpleasant for her and project this thing on the image of her boyfriend, i.e. supply the place of her boyfriend by this harsh thing. The easiest way is to project the most unpleasant thing for her, which she meets almost every day. For example, if she doesn’t like a boiled onion from soup, she may imagine that her boyfriend is a boiled onion!
In such a way her disgust to a boiled onion will make her loathe her boyfriend. Now, let us imagine how it is possible to apply scientific thinking to our daily life. Of course, it may seem to be too serious to solve real world problems. Thus we’ll try to apply scientific thinking to solve real world problem: should it be allowed to smoke in public places?
In spite of the fact that there are special places for smokers in cafes or restaurants, there is such kind of public places, where smoking is forbidden. It is relevant to show scientific thinking application to this problem solving in a consequent order: In such a way, we have applied persuasive thinking and scientific thinking to solve real world problems. It is
