These include feedback from the students, the ratings assigned by the students for a particular course, etc. The student reports would indicate the broad direction of faculty effectiveness and the additional parameters like rapport with students are to be used to indicate the effectiveness of the faculty towards the teaching process.Further, observation of the teaching methods is indeed a useful method that can be used to analyze the effectiveness of the teachers. Finally, for lower scores, I can use the SPTE reports that gather a wide range of factors and include details on the different aspects of the teaching process.

For higher scores, the student reports are enough to determine the effectiveness of the teaching process.3) Many of the factors like the ones discussed in the answer to question 2 are indeed pedagogical in nature inasmuch as they refer to the effectiveness of the teaching methods as they rely on factors that are to do with the methods of teaching. For interpersonal factors, the following can be used to rate the teachers: Rapport with students, Stimulation of Interest, Class Discussion, Respect for students, and fairness in grading.

These factors talk about the relevance of each of the variables being studied in relation to the interpersonal attributes as they relate to the effectiveness of the bonding between the teacher and the student. Hence, these interpersonal factors can be used to make a judgment about the effectiveness of the teaching process.4) According to the articles that were studied for this paper, discrimination on the basis of race and gender is still prevalent on many campuses. Hence, the artificial divisions of race, gender, ethnicity, etc do play a role in determining the effectiveness of the teaching as well as the learning process.

Since this question is about the effectiveness of the learning process, suffice to state that the various discriminating factors that contribute to lower scores do so in intangible ways that are sometimes hard to quantify but still leave an impact as far as the learning process is concerned. This insidious way in which these factors impeded learning has been dealt with in the articles that have been assigned for this paper. Hence, the effectiveness of the learning process is indeed dependent upon the composition of the student body and goes a long way in determining whether the class as a whole has learned to embrace diversity or is lagging behind in terms of the learning process outcomes.
