1. Identify the basic features of the hajj and their significance. Attach at least two relevant photos. The hajj is an important component of a Muslim’s life since it is one of the five pillars of Islam, however, only those who have means can travel to Mecca. Islam is not just a religion, it is a way of life for a Muslim. The Hajj is a manifestation of a Muslim’s faith since he must make a pilgrimage to Mecca in order to worship at Ka’ba. The act of Hajj is worship itself to Allah where Muslims can seek forgiveness and ask favour or blessings too.

Most of the times, Muslims ask for Allah to remove some of the difficulties in life. Some muslims have a haircut before Hajj to show their repentance for sins. It is unlawful to be indecent while visiting the Ka’ba for it is a sacred place. Visitors must be fully clothed while circling it and must have haircut. The clothes worn must only be handmade.
