Extract of sample "Korean Foods and Korean Restaurants"

Picking the correct restaurant is the first step in a dining program in Korea. There are different specialty restaurants in Korea; all have different types of foods and serving habits. Check the restaurant’s name or advertisements before entering the restaurant. The selection of the hotel/restaurant must be taken only based on your eating habits. Most of the restaurants have their names indicating the specialty of the foods served there. It may be a difficult decision for you, but select the restaurant properly; otherwise, you will not get the proper food that you are looking for and will be disappointed later.

After selecting the hotel/restaurant, the second step is making sure that you order only one or two kinds of food. This is because Koreans serve a wide variety of foods even if you order only one or two kinds of foods. Most of the single orders are accompanied by more than ten kinds of appetizers for everyone; which means if you order more things, the varieties of foods you are getting will be more than what you can consume. This will result in a lot of waste in food items you purchased.

Third, order only one meal less than what you require. This is because the size or volume of the food will be more than what you have anticipated. A single person can't eat all the foods provided in a single order. So if your group consists of four members, order only three which will be more than enough. If your group consists of eight members, order only 6 members. In the same way, you can plan the number of foods based on the number of members in your group. You are not wasting any food and at the same time, you can save a substantial amount of money also by ordering less number of foods.

To conclude, while taking food in Korea, you have to select the proper restaurant first based on your choice of food; then order only one or two kinds of food because of the immense variety of items accompanied by even single orders; order only one meal less than what you require because of the big size/volume of food you are getting even with a single order.
