1. The first law of thermodynamics states that “The change in a system's internal energy is equal to the difference between heat added to the system from its surroundings and work done by the system on its surroundings”. (Jones)  In this law, the universe is considered to have energy flowing from one system to another based on the internal working and heat energy transferred. Thus it’s clear that the universe preserves the energy it has in it originally.  The second law of thermodynamics states that “It is impossible for a process to have as its sole result the transfer of heat from a cooler body to a hotter one.” (Jones) This law states that there cannot be energy gain in a system without doing any work. In the universe, there can’t be changes inside any system without doing any work. The third law states “It is impossible to reduce any system to absolute zero in a finite series of operations.” (Jones)  It says there can’t be any system in this universe such that energy transfer does not take place. So the conclusion can be drawn is, the universe as such will not undergo the absolute zero and it will exist forever. 
Law of Conservation of Matter states that “During an ordinary chemical change, there is no detectable increase or decrease in the quantity of matter.”( Law of Conservation of Matter and Energy) This content the fact universe will remain constant that is, the matter in the universe will be constant and there will not be any change in the amount of matter present. There could be changes taking place. 
Combining all these laws, w can come to the conclusion that matter and energy are correlated. If the matter changes its forms it has to undergo the change only because of energy gain or energy loss. 


2. Role of Science in Society
Science has brought a drastic change in human history and itself created a big history. There are constructive as well as destructive effects of science on society. Human beings are considered to be a sophisticated aspect of the world. And to live as a group requires a lot of sense about what happening in the world. Starting from old age, the hidden principle of life is being brought into action in a systematic manner and that’s what is called the effect of science on society. The culture and tradition follow the aspect of science. So as the inventions grow up, human beings started practicing all sorts of things in the world and created further enhancements to the existing concepts. 
Starting from the morning toothpaste to the mosquito coil in the night science is involved in every moment of life of an average person. Due to the discovery by Newton that the earth is round, there was opposition to his invention which resulted in the death of Newton. After a serious transformation, Newton’s invention was accepted. The invention of solar and lunar eclipses made people protest scientists from a religious perspective. Since it’s contradictory to their belief of what is being preached in their religion.  The limitations of science should stop inventing destructive elements so that they will not affect human society. The invention of bombs, narcotics, and other destructive features should be avoided since they have an ill effect on the planet as well as human society.  Read More
