This necessitates that Boeing faces a business 2 business marketing dilemma where its demand is mostly derived i.e. it depends upon the demand of Boeing’s consumers. In order to be successful, Boeing, therefore, needs to be active in its marketing efforts to focus and target those customers which Boeing believed will be able to generate the demand for more air travel, etc. The trick is that Boeing must stick to the personal selling of its products since these products are expensive and simply out of the reach of ordinary consumers therefore what is important for Boeing is to engage itself in personal selling.

Boeing’s decision to launch Heli-Jet can be a big success. In order to successfully monitor this product, Boeing may need to do the following:

  • For successfully marketing this product, Boeing first needs to determine and assess its present customer base. It must first clearly define who its customers are and who are the potential customers who can be interested in buying the product.
  • In order to successfully market the new concept of Airframe, what is required is to first outline a very comprehensive marketing plan for the product to successfully market it.
  • This market plan can carry different and various objectives which can be achieved if followed. However, these marketing objectives need to SMART in nature.
  • The proposed actions which Boeing can take in order to successfully market its new products may include advertising, promotional activities, personal selling efforts, etc.
  • Advertise the product to its target customer base of existing customers. Since this product has very excellent features and has multi-purpose use therefore there will certainly be acceptance of the product in the market.
  • Boeing needs to highlight the features of this product. Since this is a multipurpose product with many unique and excellent features therefore Boeing must stress highlighting its features and the perceived utility it can provide to its users.
