Rationale of the Press Release
There are several issues I had to consider while composing the press release. The first one is the integrity and goodwill of Tchou Tchou. I had to safeguard the integrity of the company by stressing that it is a good corporate citizen: it has provided many jobs and paid taxes. The second issue is I had to highlight that the company is known for employee retention and loyalty. This shows that it is a caring company. The third issue is the emphasis on consumer safety and protection over and above the company's profitability. The company presents a voluntary recall and product replacement program. The company assigns persons to attend to complaints and inquiries. The press release states that the company is more than seventy years in existence. The fourth issue is the importance of presenting a positive outlook on this company defect. I excluded the data on an irate customer who called up to bring our attention on the defect. This was unimportant and it does not help in coming out a press release with a positive tone. I also excluded the data on pinpointing the exact store which sold the product which had pieces of glass on it. This was unimportant and it will just generate negative press for the retailers whom the company also needs to protect. The fifth issue was to present a helpful ...Download file to see next pagesRead More

Safety of Soy-Based Infant Formulas

If the condition is not detected at birth with proper testing, symptoms usually occur within the first few days or weeks of life after the baby drinks breast milk or a lactose-containing formula. The buildup of galactose can cause severe damage to the liver, kidneys, central nervous system, and other body systems.
A less severe form of this disease is Duarte galactosemia or galactokinase deficiency. This condition can be managed with a few dietary restrictions, and there is no risk of neurologic or liver damage. However, cataracts can develop.
Following symptoms and signs are present: poor feeding and poor weight gain, vomiting and diarrhea, jaundice, cataracts, lethargy and hypotonia, hepatomegaly, encephalopathy, bulgi...

A Small Sports Car as an Investment

The purpose of this report is to determine the “best bang for the buck” if a consumer was looking to purchase a small sports car. A car purchase should be treated as an investment, even though we know that spending money on a vehicle with the high gasoline prices and insurance premiums is probably the worst type of investment money can buy. Therefore, the ultimate purpose is to guide this expenditure in reaping the maximum benefits available.
I will be researching on 2006 2-seated vehicles in the price range of $30,000 - $50,000 in today’s market. The idea is to keep it within the price range mentioned above, so more expensive cars such as Benz CLK and lower-end vehicles such as Honda Civics are not included...

Chilled Vehicles and Special Care of Products

Hiring another company or the third party to man the operations of the fleet of vehicles can put the company down. That would be like dealing with new employees who are not really working for the company, and who do not know our products. It will also be tantamount to revealing the secrets of our products and company that we have treasured all through the years. The best option is to work on the fleet of vehicles and get the right people to handle the operations.
There are doubts as to the exact number of vehicles we have to purchase since these are all plans and some hypotheses. But we tried to scale down our output, made some estimates and inside surveys, and come out to some numbers, which were reached by calculating...

Economic Analysis on BMW Cars in the US Car Industry

Mini and the 1-series rapidly grew at a much higher rate through 2008. Since the early days of the new millennium, BMW has been one of the first automakers to utilize flexible factories in which more than one vehicle model could be produced at the same time. This enabled the company to meet shifts in market demand more effectively than BMW’s competitors could. BMW challenges to retain its market position in the international market for luxury cars. PESTEL 2.1 Political The UK government is supporting the car industry to make it become much greener, innovative and more productive although the once prosperous industry is severely hit by the recession. It has affected thousands of jobs and it has also made the government offer financial aid to the auto companies to stop from closing down or shifting their production sites. The government has supported the deflated automotive industry by £2.4bn rescue package which will assist the car manufacturers in developing green technology and save jobs (Sibbald, 2009). The government has been able to exert pressure over European Investment Bank to release loan of £1.3bn to develop green technology and another £1bn to invest...

Animals Should Be Used to Test the Safety of Products

... Animals should be used to test the safety of products Each year, a considerably large number of animals undergo tests aimed at evaluating the toxicity of various products along with their ingredients on humans. These animals primarily include rabbits, guinea pigs, mice and rats where they are made to ingest or inhale substantial quantities of test substances or go through the pain of a chemical eating away at their sensitive eyes and skins. The problem with this testing is that more often than not the animal tests are undependable or not applicable to humans making the entire process pointless and plainly cruel on the animals. This is what has made animal experimentation controversial where animals have been used not only for product...

Purchasing National Products

...Why Purchasing National Products is Important for Our Country’s Economy Over the last few decades many economists have championed free trade. They claim that only by removing restrictions on trade (such as tariffs) goods and money can flow freely around the world and global markets develop without inhibition. But it is widely known that when the money flows from the country it loses its wealth and job places. That’s why it is crucial to buy goods produced by your own country to support its economy and increase the level of prosperity. In order to make people buy national products it is important to explain the economical origins that lead to the conclusion that purchasing domestic goods is the best way to develop national economy.
