Female executives are expected to wear elegant and feminine suits together with accessories. It is strongly recommended that you bring business cards with one side translated into Portuguese. Provide business cards to everyone and present them with the Portuguese side facing them.During meetings, initiate handshakes with male executives. Brazilian men only shake hands with women if the latter extend their hands first. Building a good reputation and image is primary in business negotiations. Brazilians are keen on getting to know who they are dealing with in order to build trust.

A relationship takes time. Unless a good relationship is formed Brazilians put off the business deal. Never become patient in waiting.Face to face communication is preferred to written ones. This also shows the credibility of a person and his dedication. Being interrupted while speaking is deemed to be just fine in the Brazilian culture.
