In Ramayana, regaining virginity is important as influenced by other cultures. The immoral behavior of women affects the lives of children born in such a union. Vyasa is fortunate to be brought up by a Brahmin which is the highest class in the society. On the other hand, Karna is unfortunate to be raised by a charioteer so he is not allowed to be in the company of princes. In addition, women are worried about their own future and fail to think about the future of their abandoned children and ironically expect favors from them.

Freedom is a relative term. It is dependent on the culture of the people or society. One's freedom does not necessarily lead to immoral behavior. However, what is moral and immoral is also dictated by society and the mindset of the people, both the one concerned and the observers.I find the culture and the behavior of the characters prejudiced against women. Women are marginalized and their basic human rights are violated.
