Extract of sample "The Success of Business Enterprise"

We will use Custom Eyes as the of the enterprise focusing on business concerning optometry and optical services. Primarily, the nature of this business is the service rendered by optometrists to treat eyes and other related services. There are a lot of payments that are to be made in this kind of business enterprise particularly talent/professional fee of the optometrist, service fee for the employees and other fees that are inclined to his kind of business. This kind of business also requires record keeping of patients and clients who came for their treatment for monitoring and recording purposes considering the fact that this business would obviously rely on information on records to monitor development of patients, business-wise the financial obligations of the patients and other related accounts for this business to have a desirable operation of this kind of enterprise. This business is deemed that there are sites of work namely; in Brimingham and in Worthing as its factory sites and a factory manufacturing contact lenses in Surrey. In this kind of set-up, we are aware that there are three branches in this business and with this we will now have the idea that the operation is subdivided into three sites and with this, it is a fact though these factories do perform almost the same kind of operation and produce same kind of products the geographical separation of these factories and outlets can make a difference. In this scenario the three establishments should perform the same and should have uniformities with regards to the operation. This could be possible in recording the files, statistics and medical record of the patients in order to ensure the uniformity of operations in these places. We will now assume that these three are branches and should render the same services in their proximity. In order to ensure the uniformity of the operations of the said establishments under the business name Custom Eyes rendering the same services in different areas the entries and the documentation of the patients and costumers should have the same entries and therefore should contain general information about patients and clients. In this case the information that these branches should obtain must include names, addresses, medical records and similar information needed to assess the patient/client. In doing this, we might be able to ensure that the record keeping of these branches are the same and the optometrists that are attending to the costumers would have the same performance as the information that they deal with would be the same. Of course functional requirements should also be present in this kind of business. For example the competencies of the optometrists should be looked into in order to ensure the capability and the quality of services rendered. Also, the functional requirement of the equipment should also be present in this kind of business. Non-functional requirements should also be present like business theories and the likes should also have touch in this kind of business. In all of the cases, one must know the priorities of the business like the priority costumer based on needs and the availability in orders, treatment, sales and the likes should be present here. The distinction as to what branch, the services are rendered should also be there. Considering that it is assumed that these three branches do have same functions in rendering services, the uniformity in the operations of these branches must be evident. After determining the requirements, catalogue entries should also be available in order for the outlet system to be established and for the branches to have a uniform transactions and entries for patients and clients. Considering the fact that these information are vital, the guide for these entries should contain the same guides in every branches in order for the branches to develop similarity and for the costumers to be assured that these branches did came from a single business enterprise. In the case of the custom eyes system, the aforementioned enterprise is the center of the operation considering the fact that it is the name and the prime reason of the existence of business. I this case, costumer would come to the office knowing that the office provide optical treatment and other related services and it is obvious that the costumer/patient need optical services in order to have someone to attend to his/her optical needs and therefore the reason for the consultation. The patient would further demand for services and treatment in the said business enterprise. The Opticians system would further determine the need of the client and would perform the needed services/treatment for the said patient. The system would further determine miscellaneous steps and tasks that should be done like setting appointments, check-ups and the likes. After determining the needed treatment, assessing the necessary gadgets that are to be used. The system would further refer the need to the related services such as the factory who makes eye glasses, other equipments in optometry to meet the demand of the costumer and would order the necessity to the factory, asses billing to the accounts department and determine the availability of the materials that are to be used in the warehouse. Documents such as delivery notes, stock order, sales details, orders and the likes are to be secured in the process. The said system would focus on centralized type wherein all of the transactions would pass in the custom eyes optician system, which deals with all of the transactions. This system is a healthy one considering the fact that all of the transactions pass through the system and all of them are monitored by the said system, which prevents bypassing of, and with this, the assurance of a healthy business operation cycle is at hand. In this scenario, custom eyes optician system is the mediator that connects all of these transactions with each other regarding the operation of the said enterprise. demand/ needs appointment/check-ups/treatment sales details/delivery note order/completed order/ In the Logical Data model for the custom eyes outlet system above, it doesn't take a genius to read between the lines that the system serve as bridge to the costumer and the concerned offices/agencies in order to execute the desired services of the costumer, in the process the cycle of demand and satisfaction was shown and how the elements of the diagram are inter-related with each other. In this process, the case tool was produced. The demand-treatment scenario was established. Furthermore the model above clearly posse's entities that is present in the establishment, which dictates the flow of its operation. With this regard, the activities within the process were also stated in order for the business to prosper and to determine the description of involvement of each element. The primary keys are 1) costumers 2) the Custom eye system 3) and the involved offices and parties. In this case the foreign keys are the transactions (those that are present along with the arrow). This data model represents each of the elements in the aforementioned business and how they flow. The primary or located in the top level is the consumer/costumer/patient because primarily, they are the main reason of the existence of this enterprise. The optical system is placed in the middle as it served as the bridge of the offices/concerned parties and the costumer. The existence of the system is to absorb, relay the need and being a part of those who execute the needed remedy for the costumer, patients and the likes. In the bottom part is the offices/concerned parties considering the fact that they are the one who absorb the need/demand and from their part would start the remedy of the need. By looking and following this simple paragraph, one would be assured that this process should and is a must to be observed in order for the process to flow, failure to comply with one step of this flow would affect it as a whole. Records and data are indeed vital for the flow of the operation. In this business, it is understood that services and attention, particularly in the eye area has something to do with medical treatment and therefore, medical record should be done in order for the treatment to become possible. In this case, the RDA is vital to determine the patient's record and the order it was recorded. In this example, it would also delve into the uniformity of the system in treating their patients and clients, which means that the attending personnel and procedures are guided accordingly; they can now determine the development of the patient and how the treatment should be done. Such cases would further ad information which are vital in determining the next step that should be done. 1 In the patient's Record, the following steps are to be done and after determining the record and the series of medical test/examinations then the process of determining the remedies/treatment that are to be done. CUSTOMEYES PATIENT RECORD Patient ID XXX Name XXX Address XXX Tel XXX Mo's next test XXX Date of last order xxx Value of last order xxx The test records xxx Series of tests and medical examinations xxx Reminder/appointment/Prescriptions xxx CUSTOMEYES ORDER RECORD Customers order record Patient's details The item to be bought/treatment to be done Amount of medication/ item/payment Legend-XXX-prerequisite/things to be done before venturing to order record This illustration illustrates that it is a requisite that the optical system should first determine and serve the RDA in order to know the right treatment and remedy as the table illustrates. The process would further allow the persons concerned to know the amount and other expenses in order to satisfy the business cycle and operation. The RDA could further enhance the Logical Data Model, as it would further enhance and develop the identity and the data that are essential in determining the kind of treatment as well as determining the amount of payment and expenses. If we are to look into this, it represents how the patient is treated and how the expenses for treatment is determined. In such case, the illustration further suggests that RDA is indeed vital for the normal operation of the enterprise. All in all, the aforementioned models only illustrates a certain thing, a certain operation involves a lot of personnel with different tasks to be done. It also shows relationships among elements of a certain business enterprise that normally, all of the operations went into process and those elements should be present in order to establish a healthy business operation. If we are to base or derive the conclusion to the produced diagrams, it is evident that each of the process is inter related with each other and therefore, one of the elements should not be absent in the process, rather it should be always at hand in order to finish the business tasks and different things that are to be done in a business type like the above mentioned enterprise. ### Read More
