20 March 2008 "Here Come the NewlyWeds" With the overabundance of reality TV shows on network television that involve eating unimaginable treats, performing risky, life threatening tasks, and stretching the boundaries of the human spirit through pushing an individual's physical, emotional, and mental capabilities. Now comes a show testing various aged, diverse backgrounded Newlywed couples form high school sweethearts, "love at first sight," a interracial couple, divorces, and an arranged marriage. Their "love" is confronted through a series of relationship tests challenging each couple to deal with issues such as trust, communication, and understanding each other while pursuit of the cultivated money prize. A prize that began at two hundred and fifty thousand dollars, which steadily increases as the couples show how much they know each other. For examples, the wives we given ten changes, and for every change the husband noticed, a thousand dollars was added to the pot of money. By the end of each episode, one couple is voted off with the mandated tearful goodbye and the original seven couples continually dwindle until one will obtain a nest egg to kick-start their lives.
For an hour-long reality show there were a total of seven commercials that lasted a total of sixteen minutes and twenty-seven seconds. The first commercial was from Sprint advertising their new Palm Centro, for two minutes and ten seconds, where a older gentleman discussed how life went to fast and there was no time for communication, while couples were shown in the background using the phone, smiling faces on all. Next was an advertisement from Epsilon discussing their groundbreaking printer, which is presented by a young couple who had just gone to an electronics store in search of a printer given theirs was not producing quality photographs while they were scrap booking. After some on air bickering and after another two minutes and thirteen seconds, the man declared he didn't scrap book and the wife was happy with their new purchase to continue, "their project." Then there is a commercial from Citi Bank, a simple thought provoking commercial directed towards the individuals who want to achieve a dream and do not necessarily have the means to accomplish that, such as a young couple wanting to by a home. But Citi bank is willing to help them do that, in two minutes and thirty seconds. Next there is a commercial from Pfizer that discusses individuals who want to quit smoking and as difficult as it might be, there are options to help those individuals so they can a better life, a better life introduced in two minutes and fifteen seconds. Afterwards find a Nestle Coffee-Mate commercial that shows a married couple with children, enjoying a sip of their coffee together after their children have left for school, enjoying their time together before their days begins as a result of the Coffee-Mate, a commercial that even offering a free sample in two minutes and twelve seconds. Then for two minutes and forty seconds a Charles Swab commercial discussing investments and the importance of personal communication, especially with someone controlling your money, no matter how much money that is, everyone is entitled personal attention. Finally in three minutes in forty seconds is a commercial form ReMax, where a family of four is in desperate need of a new home, a new beginning, and ReMax can help them do that as outstanding agents with outstanding results with a large access to real estate.
It is obvious that each commercial is directed towards an audience of couples who are most likely to watch this show by appealing to their concerns and needs. Whether that be investing money, obtaining real estate, helping a partner to quit smoking, and obtaining a mortgage from the bank. Or it can be simple concerns that advertisers are appealing to, such as easier communication, easier completion of joint projects, or just enjoying a cp of coffee at home together. The networks are capitalizing off of a person's fears, a couples concern for their future and their lives together all while the couple may be watching television together.

First of all, I would like to ask the two of you: what are your concepts of imperialism Hassad: Well, imperialism is one dominant state exercising power over a weaker state, with no other motive but to forward its own agenda and make the weaker state subservient. It is only motivated by selfish intentions. Host: What about you, Denise Denise: It's really not as simple as that. Imperialism can take on more subtle forms. TV Show Presentation

TV Show Presentation Ladies and gentlemen of the History Channel, there is no question that your network holds a lofty place in the current pantheon of television lineups. You have successfully branded your network and have not been forced to reduce your company's value by expanding beyond your history base. TV Land is showing movies now! However, when the teams merge in the near-end of the game (because it won’t make sense to keep two teams with three members each), these “castaways” would be on the jury and at the end of the game and they would be the one to decide who would win the whole game. The beginning of the season begins with a twist, as to surprise the players. The game is all about adaptation in a new environment, coupled with the pressure to excel. The final players are supposed to be the ones who can adapt well to the environment, as well as with the people they are playing with. The show generally focuses on the people: how they adapt to their environment...

Technology today has made it possible to retain and conserve knowledge and transmit it to other people in an organization. The knowledge that has been created by a single individual can be a powerful weapon when retained, transmitted, disseminated and applied. According to Nonaka, new knowledge begins with an individual (Chaston, Badger & Sadler-Smith, 1999). When the new knowledge is generated it is merged with the existing knowledge and new knowledge from other sources and provides the basis for new products and processes. As far as the validity of the study was concerned, the researchers attempted to use content validity in order to get an accurate response. The content validity focused on measuring off the ethnicities and gender percentages within the area and attempting to get a random sample of individuals via the phone. Their approach to random calling allowed for a significant random sample in the study. There were a few issues, however, with this type of approach. Those answering the phone sometimes were not always the desired individual, and not all of the desired people were surveyed. Different replacements did have to be used, and the attempt w...
