Media has various facets, these facets are essential to our everyday lives. Media refers to different mediums used as a form of communication to other people in certain ways. We often heard that communication is an integral part of development in all ways such as economic aspects, political aspects and even our own self, the psychological aspects. While it is true that the society's pervading conditions are attributes of negative impact of media, we cannot just denounce the importance of it. Media has various negative impacts that is given; in all technological advancement wrought by men together with this is the wider scope of negative precisions. Negative precisions mainly are social ills such as moral bankruptcy. Mass media include telephone, radio, television, newspapers, magazines, films, CD's, internet, camera and many others. These are all agent of immoral acts that shall affect everybody not just young individuals but also the older people. Influence of the media shall affect our perception on things no matter how refused it. For instance, the younger generations are greatly indulging themselves to modern innovation of technologies. The important structure of media is its capability to penetrate culture. Now everything we perceive is a product of media. It was not so long ago that we are on the brim of industrializing nations while several inventions are looming to facilitate the Industrialized Age. The sages of different nations have proved that everything beyond our limits can be achieved. Now the results are prevalent. The emergence of mass media has aim to reach other people in a community and even through around the globe in a just a matter of minute. It is also significant to employ any forms of mass media or the so called mass advertising in the scope of the business since it is to cut the cost of individual advertising. However advertising faces several issues such as the issue on uprightness. In contemporary living, advertising intensify consumption. Most people rely on advertising, the immediate effect of the products is what seems to be enticing especially that it fashions on the taste of the people. The folks are even influenced through what they have heard in the radio or have watched in the television. It is creeping that one friend of mine usually indulges herself to beauty products but there was no immediate result of it as what have saith on the media, in fact her natural beauty already has distorted. Many people also that I met on the streets whether they'd be young or old employ the same products that help to conceal their imperfections. Have anyone ever tried to ponder why the television are endorsing about younger looks or are making fancy things while no one talks about being old and embarking the world Why, perhaps because they were afraid to face the reality. Absolutely, the media has often lulled us to the world of fancy things while reality is obscured. The mantra of media is different that it alters moral value into hollowed values. However, enlisting the negative effects of the media would also count its important and thus it as essential in finding the loopholes of media to tackle its positive impacts. Telephone, a facet of media is hailed as one of the most significant invention created by A.G. Bell. It is used to transmit and decode voices from predefined source. Before telephones were used to communicate within a specific location. As the need grew wider, it was innovated to reach distant areas. The populace was dissatisfied on the sluggish stir of via air mail or post mail. Particularly during the verge of wars when soldiers were set out in the battlefield likened to a million miles outside their home. In order to communicate with their families and to bring news on their condition, they have to draft a letter for their loved ones. A car truck is out there to pick the letters and send it to any destinations in the world via air mail. The disadvantage is that the receiver will receive the letter for a couple of days. Only then they know how worst or how better is the condition of their loved one being sacrificed in the war for power. Communication through telephone involves sensation, hearing the voice of your loved one can ease your worries. Unlike in making a letter, the feeling will tarnish without sensing the emotion that was there in the letter. That proves how telephone becomes worthy in the field of telecommunication during the 18th century. In the modern day period, the need for telephone was escalated. In various field such as business, telephone prove to be a prime growth in the company. Different areas in the Third World Countries especially in outsourced countries used this tool to link around the globe. There are two determining factors that considered telephone as an importance. One, it is used in query settling. Many large companies especially in the field of manufacturing have a division that tackles for queries and suggestion from their valued customers. It is in this way they can foster the loyalty of their market. Suggestions on the larger point can be a room for enhancement of the company's products for their customers to appreciate it more. Telephone on the other way is used in advertising. Similar to the situation, all companies have respective marketing division that aim for a better advertising regime to fully reach out potential customers. In all various offices, telephones are important tool that without it every transaction would be crippling the communication process. Without considering the demographic area, it is not a notion that telephones are only applicable to industrialized nation and capitalist nation. People in all walks of life needed this technological tool as a form of communication and not for pleasure reasons. While it is true that the society's social strata is furthering, such advancement of technology has appear to be serving the extravagance of the able. In comparison, I examined the typical life of a poor and a typical life of a middle class individual. The middle class have at least a telephone at home, while the poor have none. A busy person that refers to the former has often used this media to intervene in every transactions is ought important to her. For the life of a poor, while he is sacked up to the most cumbersome work, he don't have much use of the object. Besides it is of no importance since his works does not involve the brain-work but rather the hand-work. Usually people from all walks of life have regard telephone to be an integral part of daily living and mingling to other people. But that depends on the upbringing of a person. This warranted the situation of the poor boy. With the introduction of cellphones or mobile phones it not just intensifies the condition of the meager but has explicitly showed that in this society those who have something are the ones being served with fine dine. Countries within the poverty line were experiencing their saddest plight. Rich countries have various surpluses especially on manufactured technology goods. These are being transported to other nations such as the Third World countries that serve as their dumping area of worn out tools and gadgets as well as obsolete materials. There is no restriction as to these materials and even the termed Anti-Dumping Law cannot support it simply because these can be of used and importance. If several countries experiencing dearth on technological tools others are greatly enjoying the lavishness of such materials. That is why to weigh the importance of things, demographic location is considered. To the marginalized these tools serve as an alley to growth while to the affluent they were to satisfy their delight. Another facet of media is radio, like any invention, the inventor sets out for this on a special purpose. G. Marconi the proponent of radio has created this tool chiefly for communication. Not until that innovators planned to create radio music box not only for entertainment but also for mass communication purposes such as news dissemination. Radio facility plays an important tool in sending radio transmissions especially used by the air force and the naval armies. Radio can transmit messages even to a long range distance. Radio being used in several airports is used to monitor the flights of airplanes. Rescue operations also are part of the monitoring team, to know the whereabouts of the airplanes and to notify them in case of bad weather conditions. Lost airplanes can be track with the used of radio waves being transmitted prior to the accident. With the help of satellite using the so called Global Positioning System (GPS) they can monitor the location of fallen airplane or even lost airplanes. Ship lines also employ radio to monitor undercurrent water conditions especially on long voyages and provide warning signals in case of storm or hurricane. During the World Wars radio transmission plays an important role. This is the time when radio broadcast is used to inform the masses the condition of their nation as the war perpetrates. Air force fighters utilize radio in order to send backup in case the situation gets worst. Also the scamper in the sky used radio to direct their compatriot away from their enemies and help them strike through behind the back of their common foe. This is just of the few importance of radio during the previous years. Now radio is used even outside the Earth. Most scientist rely on radio signals or radio waves transmitted through the earth by outside bodies such as distant stars, distant galaxies and other planetary objects. While innovations are through using electromagnetic waves present in radio, radio music box now is prevalent. The problem with the current situation is the influence of factor such as music. Music they say is the highest form of art, perhaps this is factual but it does not necessarily mean that all types or genre of music are art type. While it is true that there is harmony in music as it has a special appeal to the masses and to the way their emotion flaunt, the writers of several music lyrics imbibing a different emotion. Rock music and metal rock music has ruined the artistic form of it. Some of their lyrics has explicitly extolled immoral acts such as drugs, sex and violence. Since music is universal it can affect every individual for all walks of life. However the young generation was wholly affected, the minds of these individual are swarming with curiosity. Apparently, the society has introduced them to flagrant violence including the choice of music. These acts were warranted by the music being played and are usually played through the radio. Most youngsters follow the trend to belong within the sphere of influence of music and to be fit in the current trend that dominates in the modern society. This type of music greatly abhors the values and virtues that young people suppose to be living with. There are only few music created that deal with good value and importance of family, or music that deals with the life situation of few people who are forgotten by the society yet these were rarely played and most of the time not played at all. The impact of music to the people is to penetrate the emotion. People who were often times listening to hard rock music possess an aggressive attitude. Several studies have shown that most people behavior were of influenced by what they see, feel and listen. In communication, 90% of our faculty is accounted on what we hear. Thus most of the time listening is our only routine. While hard rock music progresses, this were already employ in different recreational bars and music bar. Some studies conducted and mine observation as well shows that most people has high intake of alcohol when it is accompanied by loud and aggressive music, that is why most bars employ artists and rock bands to lure their customers and most importantly for profit making. The essence of music brought about by classical musicians such as Bach, Mozart, Armstrong, Beethoven and other excellent musicians has already faded in the heart of many as a new era of musical genre was introduced in the 20th century. The most famous Harlem music played by black artists started as a movement during the 1920's. It is played to portray the revolution that will surface while the autonomy of the Black Americans is in question. Modern day pop music is an offshoot of this music genre. However, pop music today illustrate a different revolution, it is porn revolution. Most of its contents are greatly damaging to the ear and was physically and mentally destroying the integrity of women. How come it was published and aired through the radio. Another factor that affects youngsters is the imagery that revealed by those rock bands, devilish like image has greatly insulting the moral values and the advocates of morality. What these people contend is that they have the inherent right to do what they want to so long as they are not violating and transgressing the people's right. True that they have drawn the line, but what they doing is enculturation that it impedes the growth and nurturance of other people being affected of it. On the other hand, radio gain its stead as it become a news disseminator. People in the rural areas mostly don't have any television or other form of media to keep updated to current event. Since radio is cheaper than television, the poor communities can somehow avail to buy one to keep up to date to news, or listen to folk music and dramatization through radio. It is in this way that current news can now reach the grassroots community even without television. On certain circumstances, people who are lacking with faculty such as the eye can reach on the radio to entertain himself as well as to listen to relevant news. This way he can still include himself as an integral part of the society even without the sense of seeing. When other considers having radio as a form of entertainment, some has regarded this tool as a way to awareness of the society's situation. One of the most contentious tools for communication is television. This great invention of P. Farnsworth is greatly looming throughout the world. Perhaps its used and application should be entrenched from the user and not on the object itself. Television becomes an effective tool for mass media such as news dissemination, product promotion, lifestyle promotion, source of knowledge and different areas or fields that can yield into either fundamental growth of man or diminution of his life values. We have seen the influenced of television to everybody much to the young individuals. Children nowadays are more engrossed in watching cartoon movies rather than delving on their studies. Several people were aiming to create an educational television shows that will raise the desire of the children to learn. Using several graphic art or 3D animation while integrating values on the characters of the program, this can achieve the approval of the children. Most cartoon series are violent in character and can greatly influence the minds of the children. Violent since the portrayal of those characters are unnatural or unconventional comparing to real life situation. This unnaturalness is what calls the attention of the children. The danger is that the audience may imitate the action that they had just viewed. Taking into consideration, a child's mind is likened to a sponge, it can gradually assimilate what he perceives especially when prolong exposure to the subject. Even when there are educational television shows, it is important to have the guidance of a guardian or parent while watching television program in order to avoid cracking on un-educational programs. Television is also a good source of income. Companies involved in profiteering have a marketing division for advertisement. Part of informing the public of their products is to choose any form of media to reach potential customers with the assurance that they can gain on it. Perhaps the most effective tool is television. Most companies require the presence of a model that suits well to their products and can introduce it to the masses. This situation calls for the need of various artists and performers that shall project in front of the camera. Physical beauty requires being a model, even when the product is not a beauty product. There is an aura of appreciation of the products when the model possesses talent and beauty. Most beauty companies have increased their sales due to television advertising. The fact that 95 % of advertising is far from the truth, most people still relies on it. That is the power of those beautiful models that tend to beautify the products. Fashion also has a large impact on women. Fashion models today are extremely thin; since this is the trend most women now prefers to be thin not on a natural way but through the work of technology to achieve the best results. The way the society revealed this, it implies therefore that since this is the new craze, it must be the standard good looks for women. If you noticed, most of the models in the television show off that the body warrants for a price, for extravagance and for affluence. This is why women in this contemporary age become a sexual tool and pleasure for rich men. Much have been the negative causes of media to people especially television, even when a great deal and a great importance is news casting, the effects of it cannot be condone by such great importance when morality was deeply wrecked. It is thus important to gauge the advantages and disadvantages of these media and how far it does go to influence man on his activity. These are some few items of communication tools that are prevailing in the modern society. While men set out for more innovations, we can behold more of these things and we must therefore progress to preserve the virtue that we have that is currently fading and will constantly be fading while these things are set in motion.
