"Career as Ultrasound Technician" is a perfect example of a paper on the health system. In childhood, I had seen my mother underwent an ultrasound procedure. I was fascinated with the procedure then since images were produced on the screen. The machine had provided accurate images, as well as a diagnosis by the physician. The ultrasound is a medical tool used in medical practice to create images of internal organs and tissues. Also called sonography, the procedure uses high-frequency sound waves to make dynamic visual images of internal organs, reproductive system, female breasts, blood flow, tissues, etc. (What is Ultrasound pars. 1, 3). Now that I am on the threshold of deciding which career I would pursue, my mind is focusing on the machine that fascinated me in childhood, the ultrasound. Moreover, subjects in biology, anatomy, or anything that tackles the physical body have been of interest to me.

I believe that by taking a study in ultrasound technology, I would be able to work in my field of interest, and at the same time, I will be performing an important duty for both the physicians and patients. As an ultrasound technician, I will become a link between the patient and the physician in terms of producing vital images of the patient’s physical condition which the doctor will have to interpret.

The ultrasound is a complicated machine and thus requires the technician to have long-term study and skills training which I am willing to undertake. Through this career, I will be able to save the lives of patients, provide reliable images for the diagnosis, and help them have a quality life. Thus, an ultrasound technician is performing a very important role in the maintenance of the health of the people and in saving their lives by providing accurate visual images of the organs and tissues for diagnosis. I believe that this is a noble career since I will be providing service for and will become a complement of the health care providers.
