"The Rising of Health Care Costs" is a great example of a paper on the health system. Health costs, paying for the uninsured and the aging population have become expensive. Each dollar spent on health services normally represents the expense of suppliers and providers. Payers are wishing to reduce the dollars that flow into health care, and at the same time suppliers and providers want to increase the dollars (Government Research Corp, 2009). However, payers want to contain the costs, while suppliers and providers are resisting the cost containment. This conflict is the main battle in the health care economy. Bodenheimer (2008) claims that the United States of America has the most expensive health care system in the world, with capita per health expenditure above other nations.

Over the years, U.S health care has grown above the overall inflation rate in the economy. I support free-market health care because for any service or good to become cheap and available, the production of service or goods should increase, and the demand for the service or good must also decrease. Therefore, this means that for health services to become widely and cheaper in the United States the supply of hospitals, availability of medical drugs and supplies as well as supply of doctors should be increased in order for the price of these services and goods to fall and as a result become available to everyone (O’Connor, 1996).

Millions of Americans are becoming bankrupt, unlike other industrialized nations because of the health services that are insurmountable. Reforming health care has been at the forefront of America’s population over the years. Health care systems in some other countries have been placed in decades, while others have already addressed the health care reform. For example, Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand have moved to coverage Universal systems and as a result, the citizens are already experiencing the low costs and satisfactory quality of health care they are receiving (United States Congress, 1993).
