"Biomedical Ethics Concerning Cloning" is a great example of a paper on medical ethics. Cloning research has for long been under debate due to its controversial nature. There are several issues that are related to human cloning. This technology is under discussion for its impacts and effects on society. The impacts can either be of methods used in human cloning or of the results of human cloning and their ethical implications.

Studies show that there exists imperfection in the research of cloning which has often ended up in unexpected results.

Cloning research and attempts after the successful cloning of Doly the sheep were proof of the deficiencies and shortcomings of the process. There were abnormal developments in embryos that were produced by nuclear transfer. (5)(6) Out of 277 attempts, Dolly was the only clone that survived to adulthood. The creator of Dolly himself declared that the technique used may not be suitably efficient for cloning humans. (7) National Bioethics Advisory Commission insisted on the formulation of a code of ethics for the said research after a long debate of experts from different areas. (National Bioethics Advisory Commission, 1999)

There are multiple perspectives that are needed to be considered in order to comment on the ethical implications of human cloning. These comprise the point of view of religious scholars, liberals, technologists, meliorists, and lawmakers. The religious regime out rightly rejects all types of cloning (animal and human cloning) and considers it as interference in God’s work. This group discourages any kind of alteration in natural phenomena or meddling with God’s system. They declare it as simply unethical and solicit for a clear ban on human cloning. (Santa Carla University, 2008)

This however is in contrast with the point of view of liberals and technologists who see this as a chance of improving deficiencies in the present scientific research and implementation.
