Extract of sample "The Role of Proteins and Fats for Humans"

Since the human body does not store proteins, therefore it has no storage, and hence a new supply is needed consistently. For vegetarians, it is important to seek assistance from medical practitioners since proteins usually comprise elements that are of a non-vegetarian kind.

Fats within the human body play a huge role in bringing about heart disease. Too much intake of fat can bring several perils to the human heart. The high levels of cholesterol work against the proper blood flow within the circulatory system which eventually leads up to heart disease. Saturated fats are known to be the most fatal ones as they increase the body’s level of cholesterol (Sanders, 1994). Also, these fats can deposit towards the inner walls of the blood vessels which is known as atherosclerosis. Blood flow can become restricted or blocked which eventually leads to severe chest congestion, pain, and heart attack.
