1. How could you involve the representatives from the target population in designing the program?

Answer   

         Not only children but also their parents are stakeholders in finding remedial measures to reducing childhood obesity. Moreover, parents are the most influential people for their children to work towards reducing obesity of their children and they must be involved in childhood obesity reduction program. The program must adapt to the situations and followed with due diligence to evoke interest from the parents and children as well. Parents must be made aware of all the causes of obesity such as fast food, soft drinks intake, lack of exercise, and how it will be damaging for their children in the long run. Parents being closest to their children can inculcate good habits in them and they can be educated through special sessions specifically organized for them in each and every school at least once every four months. 

1. What strategies could be used to navigate disagreements or lack of interest?

Answer

       Visuals have a significant impact on children while communicating with them. How obesity is harmful in life and how it can develop serious illnesses such as blood pressure, diabetes, heart issues in life should be explained to children by video visuals. Visuals can produce a lasting effect and lessen children’s lack of interest in the subject. Visuals should not only be educative but also entertaining too to enhance children’s interest in the subject. All visuals must be followed by a small suitable quiz to know whether they have understood the topic because without realizing the importance of the topic fully well one would never think about implementing it.
