Health Insurance for Children - Essay Example

"Health Insurance for Children" is a great example of a paper on child development. I write in response to the inquiry sent to this hospital by The Honorable Mayor pertaining to CHIP the Health Insurance for Children of the City of Georgia.  Apparently, CHIP is a Children’s Health Insurance Program that is expected to provide a free or minimal cost to the health coverage for all children who meet the qualifications of the Insurance Program.
In reference to the passage of health reform-  the Patient  Protection and  Affordable  Care  Act in 2010, CHIP   is purposed to ensure that children with low income receive health care in Georgia and other parts across the U.S.  As such,  the advantages of this program comprise of routine check-ups, immunizations,  dental and hospital care, laboratory and X-ray services, which are of importance to clients in the program. Nevertheless, the Insurance Program is only applicable to those in Georgia having met certain requirements for the last year.

As a  result,  the new reform will not permit the city to reduce its annual appropriation to this hospital since almost  80 % of its patients are children who come from low-income families across Georgia.  In fact, healthcare in the U.S   has become one of the numerous aspects that require enormous expenditure from the government to ensure that the health of the children in the U.S is continuously improved. With much deliberation, it might be inappropriate to cut down the local funding since it also constitutes a crucial role in health care and other related issues. 

Consequently,  the government has the mandate of ensuring it is the overall payer, regulator, and provider in health.

Finally, I am optimistic that  through  the continuous annual appropriation children will receive better healthcare since they are the future generation.
