"Effects of Fluvastatin Medicine" is a perfect example of a paper on drug therapy. Fluvastatin is a medicine that has effects on the human body that reduces the high amount of cholesterol by inducing the transporter 4(MCT4) that emits the waste products. The cancer cells in the human body allow energy to be produced in the body by converting pyruvate to lactic acid which needs to be removed from the body through MCT4 transporter. Fluvastatin further affects the bladder cancer cells making them undergo stages when they are exposed to environments that have no oxygen or have a low amount of oxygen. This makes the cells multiply causing tumors and affect the supply of blood in the human body. For one to survive, the cells need to adapt to the low oxygen environment by increasing the number of MCT4 transporters in the cells.

Fluvastatin becomes dangerous to the bladder cancer cells especially when they are put under normoxia and hypoxia conditions. It is even more dangerous when the cells are in the normoxia condition than when the cells are in the anoxia condition. The effects on the cells in the conditions differ in doses depending on the amount. A human body that is exposed to the anoxia condition loses more of the lactic acid through MCT4 developing anaerobic glycolysis. A human body exposed to the normoxia condition does not emit lactic acid in a large number other than the pyruvate being utilized. Research is done, it is clear that the bladder cancer cells are just like the normal cancer cells because the normal cancer cells use anaerobic glycolysis even when oxygen is not available and the process is called Pasteur Effect. There is the probability that the bladder cancer cells also emit lactic acid even when oxygen is available. One can have some energy in the condition because there is the oxidation of the phosphorylation in which the cells will proliferate.
