"Effect of Cholesterol Levels on Health and Wellbeing of Individuals" is a great example of a paper on wellness and lifestyle. Individuals having high cholesterol levels in their 30s and 40s experienced increased heart disease risks. The longer the cholesterol levels remain high, the greater the heart disease risks. Researchers analyzed 1,478 individuals who did not have cardiovascular disease and averagely aged 55 years. The participants periodically measured their cholesterol levels in the past 20-year duration. The cholesterol measurement comprises non-HDL cholesterol measurements (Chris & Karen 104). On controlling sex, diabetes, and smoking, the research study illustrated that the cardiovascular disease levels increased by 4.4% for participants who did not experience elevated cholesterol, 8.1% for individuals who had elevated levels of cholesterol within ten years, and 16.5% for participants who showed high levels of cholesterol for a duration of between 11 and 20 years. The duration of cholesterol exposure determines the heart disease risk. Exposure for many years increases the effect of cardiovascular diseases. The heart disease foundation begins in the early life stages, and experiencing high cholesterol levels for several decades is worse health-wise (Chris & Karen 127).

I understand the negative effects of cholesterol levels on health and well-being. This is the reason why I also go for a medical check-up to measure my cholesterol levels. I control and reduce cholesterol levels through engaging inadequate physical activities. The physical activities entail; jogging for 30 minutes every morning, and participating in college sporting events like athletics. Health professionals explain that physical exercises are effective approaches to reducing the levels of cholesterol (Chris & Karen 85). Reducing my cholesterol levels is a long-term goal, which will be achieved through continuous physical exercises and consuming food with less fat content.
