"Coronary Heart Disease" is a great example of a paper on the cardiovascular system. Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is considered to be a process of coning of the small blood vessels that are supposed to provide blood and oxygen to the heart (NYT, reviewed by Dugdale, n.p.). This disease is regarded as a primary cause of death in the United States of America.  Both men and women are prone to such kind of heart disorder and it is deemed to be a problem for American society. It is worse to mention that Coronary Heart Disease is induced by “buildup of plaque in the arteries” to one’s heart (NYT, reviewed by Dugdale, n.p.). Smoking, fatty materials, and other harmful external factors may create risk conditions. Still, there are a number of internal agents that a person is not supposed to change.

This disease represents a variety of symptoms that are essential in particular situations. It should be admitted that sometimes symptoms may not occur, especially at the first stages of CHD.

The treatment is fully dependent on the patient’s health particularly and on the symptoms that are laid together with the severity of the CHD. Special medicine and a cardiac rehabilitation program will provide appropriate help in the dimension of CHD treatment. We may name three main procedures and surgeries that are used as a medicine for CHD. They are angioplasty and stent placement, called percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs), coronary artery bypass surgery, and minimally invasive heart surgery (NYT, reviewed by Dugdale, n.p.). In addition, it is important to lead a healthy lifestyle by stopping smoking, following a special diet and accomplishing doctor prescribes.
