According to Taylor universal health is considered an important policy within the US health care system. However, the policy of major health rebates is faced by public opposition as a result of the fact that it will greatly affect the provision of a universal health care system to the population. The rebate health policy that the government had planned to introduce was meant to pass on the costs of high costs of health services to patients and therefore reduce the escalating health costs in the context of the United States. After further consultations, the government did not introduce the policy in order to promote the policy of universal health care (Taylor, 2014). I agree with the article on the failure of the introduction of the rebate policy. In my opinion, the introduction of this policy would mean a compromise on the universal health care policy for the American people.

The article focuses on whether America should focus on free universal health care policy as opposed to a fee for service medicine. According to Ginsburg (2015), the fee for service health policy would imply that the costs of accessing medical service would go up and only a few individuals would be able to access the health care service. While it is argued that fee for service policy would improve the quality of health care it is not appropriate as only a few individuals would benefit from the implementation of this policy. Hence, fee for service is a policy that has sparked various forms of debate within American society (Ginsburg, 2015). I support the fact that there should be no policy in relation to the introduction of a fee for a health care service provided. In my view, this would further push the costs of access to health care services.
