"Heart Disease among Women" is a well-written example of a paper on the cardiovascular system.
According to TED (2011), medical procedures concerning heart disease focus more on men than women and for more than fifty years the trend has been to deal with men's heart patterns and the female heart patterns have taken 15 years only when detecting the disease. The gender disparity is quite evident. The study came up with heart disease as the foremost killer of women. Much research into heart disease has its concentration on men than women. Therefore, the analysis does not consider the women's condition, and most of the women, therefore, suffered silently since the research’s strength for a long time has had a central focus on men than females. Noticing the pattern of a heart attack in women becomes difficult since diagnosis of heart attack has focused on men primarily.

The medical procedures of treating heart disease focus more on the heart patterns of men than in women. The medical procedures in place cannot effectively deal with the heart condition of women. Furthermore, the diversion from women to men’s heart attacks. In addition, the more attention given to men’s heart attack over time makes the women’s heart condition ignored. More women succumb to heart disease as compared to men (TED, 2011).

The increased concentration of heart disease detection and treatment in men than women over time has changed society’s view of the heart disease of women’s condition. Since much attention, goes to women’s heart condition the society tends to ignore and focus more on men. Therefore, chronic conditions among women with cardiovascular diseases do not receive prompt treatment. Politically the funding and drive for the treatment of heart disease affecting women are small. Therefore, society as a whole has not taken women's heart conditions seriously though one in two women are wont to get heart disease. For breast cancer, the awareness created by women reduced the mortality rate. More women should come on board and awareness increased on heart conditions affecting women to remove any stereotypes related to heart disease especially in relation to women. The medical fraternity should, therefore, take the first step to deal with the gender imbalance in heart disease detection and treatment.
