Casey's anxiety and depression have resulted from her current relationship. Casey attributes her recent health issues to the problems in her relationship. The reason is that they have had increased arguments with her partner, who complains about her increased drinking.

Peer influence has resulted in Casey and her partner, Angie, to resume their initial drinking and lesbianism behaviors. It is out of the social impact that they have become alcoholics and lesbians.

Funds also are primary determinants of whether Casey and Angie take more alcohol. With inadequate funds, the two partners seized from taking alcoholic drinks. 2. Identify the problems, issues, concerns that arise in Casey's situation. 2a. How would you classify Casey's drinking?

Some of the issues that arise in Casey's situation involves her developing anxiety and depression. It results from increased conflicts with her partner Angie who complains of her excessive drinking behaviors, which she has readopted.

Another issue is that Casey is now addicted to excessive drinking, taking 3 to 6 drinks in every 2-3 occasions she attends. ‘

She is also a member of social groups that practice lesbianism. While in high school, Casey was also a subject of the same behavior she dropped by then. She later adopts it out of peer influence.

The availability of funds also drives Casey to a situation of more drinking of alcohol. While in high school, she lacked adequate funds that resulted in her stopping drinking alcohol. However, later she adopts this behavior after acquiring a job and getting some extra funds.

The conflicts in Casey's marriage have resulted in her anxiety and depression, which is also a function of her increased drinking.

Casey's drinking has resulted in her being a lesbian while still in a marriage with Angie.

It is out of alcoholism that Casey faces more marriage issues.

I can classify Casey's drinking as an excessive drinker. The reason is that she drinks a lot of alcohol in a week and approximately about 15 drinks. However, she is not a social drinker because drinking affects her personally, leading to anxiety and depression. 3. Identify the positive and strengths aspects of Casey's situationsome of Casey's positive and strengths aspects include that she can quickly drop more drinking of alcohol with decreased funds. As shown in the case study, Casey could drop liquor in two past instances due to a lack of funds. However, she has been addicted again to peer influence and easy access to funds. She can quickly drop the drinking behavior by avoiding bad social groups and peers. Casey can also consider limiting her funds to helpful and productive operations to stop the misuse of funds in alcoholic drinks buying.4. Analyze the issues in terms of knowledge presented throughout the human services program.According to the human service program, excessive taking of alcohol results in most of the mental problems. Based on this case study, therefore, Casey's problem of anxiety and depression is more likely to result from excessive drinking. However, family issues like conflicts with her partner Angie, may not contribute to a lot of this mental problem.

Angie should choose to stop taking alcoholic drinks and also help her friends subjected to the same situation. If she decides not to stop taking the drinks, Casey can consider taking only one drink per day to reduce addiction. With time she can reduce the amount of drinking, resulting from completing seize of drinking habits.

Angie is also against the extreme drinking behavior of Casey. I would also work with an alcohol and drug counselor to help in the counseling sessions on Casey.

Casey’s identification as a lesbian would affect the intervention in that she can easily readopt the behavior.

Asking Casey to try stopping excessive drinking as an intervention is necessary because it will help her seize the behavior with time. Frequent counseling can also help Casey I dropping excessive alcohol. Revealing to her that the problems result from excessive drinking can also Casey drop her behavior. 6. Identify any additional information, research knowledge, and resources needed to develop and select options; identify ways to gather what you need; gather what you can.Funds determine the choice of intervention options to undertake. With inadequate, approaching the available rehabilitation programs would help in Casey's situation.

For this intervention's success, Casey needs a stay in a specialist's treatment setting, which is expensive. In this setting, drug and alcohol counselors' availability is more comfortable, leading to quick recovery from alcohol's excessive drinking.7. Develop a strategy for human services practice with Casey. Be sure that you have a concrete and specific method for how you would address alcohol-related issues with Casey. Consider what kinds of reactions you might expect from her and develop a plan for responding to them. What kinds of referrals in your practice community would you make and why? What are the intervention goals?I would counsel Casey and advise her to make a personal decision of not taking alcoholic drinks anymore. Some of the reactions that I may expect from her include further taking of little alcohol, leading to some addictions. Casey can also find it hard to stop excessive drinking behavior at once. I would advise her to take only one drink per day and progress with nonuse. I would make referrals to specialized alcohol treatment programs and rehabilitation. Through these referrals, Casey would learn on easiness in dropping her behavior.

In this case, the intervention goals involve enabling Casey to limit or drop the excessive drinking habit and reduce the mental health programs of anxiety and depression.8. Discuss implications for community intervention, prevention planning, social policy reform, and advocacy associated with Casey's situation.

A community-based intervention program involves the initiation of alcohol discussion and policy. The community should initiate programs to address the adverse effects of excessive drinking. Control mechanisms on the drinking places can also be activated.

Adoption of more reasonable social policies would help in caring for alcoholic persons. Implementing a treatment program on Casey would be better than being imprisonment. Through advocacy, Casey should meet the requirements of the social workers’ drug policies.

On prevention planning, Casey should choose not to drink alcohol. However, if she decides to drink, she should take only one drink per day according to the U.S dietary guidelines.
