"Fibromyalgia's Chronic Pain and Treatment" is a perfect example of a paper on the Musculoskeletal System. There are several types of pain, which are nociceptive, inflammatory, neuropathic, and functional pain. The patient's pain was majorly in her abdomen, neck, back, and muscles. Severe muscle pain and tenderness of the nerves were probably the most observable symptoms cited by the patient. Chronic pain, which falls under the category of inflammatory pain, is the specific kind of problem experienced by the 50-year-old Asian female with Fibromyalgia. From a clinical medicine perspective, chronic pain relates to the type of pain caused by dysfunctional nerves or inflammation. It is characterized by persistent pain that may prevail for weeks or years (Häuser et al., 2015). Fibromyalgia is characterized by chronic pain that may be sharp, severe, or diffusive. The pain circumstances for Fibromyalgia usually are worse during the night compared to during the day.

Question Two
Pain from a clinical medicine perspective can be either objective or subjective deciding and identifying whether it is objective or subjective requires the use of measures or scales to determine the pain. The causal factors or indicators of pain associated with subjective pain may vary from psychological status, socio-economic status, or beliefs. Objective pain indicators are specific, measurable, and observable signs resulting from the laboratory, diagnostic testing, and physical examination. Regarding Fibromyalgia, much of the patient's pain understudy may be subjective pain due to the psychological distress that may be going through before and during their diagnosis with the condition (Wolfe et al., 2016). The objective indicators of pain for Fibromyalgia patients can be observed when a physical examination of the patient by health professionals is conducted. Diagnostic tests and laboratory results in a health care facility can also detail the extent of the objective pain that the patient has undergone. The genetic disposition of Fibromyalgia means it may be passed in a family from one generation to another hence making it difficult to ascertain the objectivity or subjectivity of the pain experienced by the 50-year-old Asian female patient.

Question Three
Fibromyalgia's chronic pain and treatment are relieved through various clinical interventions: therapy, medicine, and lifestyle drugs. A self-care plan in regards to Fibromyalgia can take preventive or curative measures. Having proper lifestyle management practices such as avoiding stress, working out, and proper dietary habits can prevent Fibromyalgia. In the case study, the curative measures and avenues of recovery that the patient would take are taking lifestyle drugs prescribed by a clinician after diagnosis, therapy, and medical prescription drugs. The lifestyle drugs that the patient would take would help to ease some of the stresses and pressures of life that she would be going through. Lifestyle drugs would include physical exercises, stress management, and relaxation techniques to boost physical and psychological well-being (Häuser et al., 2015). Therapy would be a possible treatment intervention and would involve the patient enrolling herself in a support group or cognitive behavioral therapy and hydrotherapy. The therapy intervention would also entail chiropractic treatment techniques. The other Fibromyalgia medication intervention that the patient would explore would involve taking prescribed medicine for the chronic nerve pain and muscle relaxation to help ease and manage the pain that she was undergoing. Anti-inflammatory pain medication would also be administered to the patient to help her affected body organs that exhibited inflammation to recover normal functioning (Wolfe et al., 2016). The severity of the pain, signs, and symptoms that the patient showed before the clinical diagnosis would be great determinants of the self-care plan and treatment that would bear positive medical interventions. Combining the three treatment interventions mentioned above would help ease chronic pain and establish a patient's recovery and management trajectory.
