Similarly, risk managers reduce patient and finance problems in health care. Nevertheless, an accountable care organization can be defined as a “health facility that ties provider repayments to quality of metric and reduction in the cost of care.” According to Handy (2019), accountable care organizations in the United States are founded by a cluster of organized health care professionals. Further health-acquired conditions are unwanted circumstances that impact patients and are acquired when the patients are still at the medical facilities or hospital. At times, patients in medical facilities or hospitals can get an infection or be corrupted by health center conditions such as the wrong diagnosis. According to Cassidy (2015), some of the health-acquired conditions include catheter-associated urinary tract infection, stage III and IV pressure ulcers, air embolism, vascular catheter, fall and trauma, blood incompatibility, and foreign object retained after surgery.

When Health acquired conditions occur, different interventions need to be carried out by risk managers. While Working as a risk manager, my first intervention could be creating an infection control policy in health facilities. For instance, developing measures such as isolation and collecting information of patients with the highest risk of contracting Health acquired condition infection. As a risk manager, I would also provide infection control education to hospital staff to detect reciprocal infection and enhance the search for preventive measures.

Besides, computerized patient checklists encourage health professionals to easily monitor the progress of blood transmission patient complications that may arise; as a result, blood transfusion.

Health acquired condition data can be used to improve organization in risk management and enhancing process. First, the data can be used to integrate the health facilities process. The data can be used to identify a potential problem and implement counteractive policies. Besides, this data can also be used to improve risk management techniques and quality improvements in the organization. Health acquired condition data can be used by health facilities to reduce specific HACs that occur regularly. Additionally, this data can also help forefront clinicians use resources, methods, and tools to develop preventive measures. Therefore, the data can be used to improve the safety of staff, patients, and visitors in health facilities.

In conclusion, one can reduce non-punitive and enhance voluntary reporting in health facilities on never event conditions by developing a transparent character to the respective individual. Thus all hospital staff involved in the management of never event need to have access to all information. This will, therefore, enhance regular feedback on never events among staff and risk management managers. Besides transparency will encourage staff to report safely without the panic of punishment for accidental errors.
