The Covid-19 pandemic is a major global health issue today, and it is the greatest problem that the world has faced since World War II United (Nations Development Programme, 2020). The virus that first emerged in China has currently spread in almost all parts of the world. Besides being a health crisis, Coronavirus is also a socio-economic problem. Due to the pandemic, millions of people globally have lost their income and job, with no one not knowing when normalcy will be achieved again (Pew Research Center, 2020).

Every country must respond quickly to the pandemic to reduce the number of new infections and deaths.How COVID-19 Has Affected my LifeAs the cases of CoVID-19 continue to rise, and public gatherings, schools, and workplaces across America remain closed, my life has also been directly impacted by the pandemic. While some people have slightly been affected by the outbreak of COVID-19, I feel that I have greatly been affected. Since the outbreak, I have not been able to attend crowded places, including my place of worship, school and refreshment places.

These are the places where I mostly meet my friends as well as unwind after having a busy day or week. I also find it hard to cook at home at all times since I cannot eat from the restaurant. It is not always that I want to carry food home since I enjoy eating with friends and family members. Another major impact of the coronavirus outbreak is that I don't get to visit the grocery like I used to do before. This has made it hard to have all the necessary nutrients when cooking, among other essential household goods.

Since the outbreak of the disease, I have been forced to work from home in an effort to keep a social distance. Despite the fast spread of the virus, I feel that small crowds should be allowed and that with the right precautions such as wearing face masks and sanitization people should be allowed to visit the grocery shops. On the positive side, I have seen the community and personal hygiene greatly improve, which in turn has limited transmission of other infectious diseases. Due to a limit of public gatherings, cases of promiscuity and abuse of drugs have also been limited in my community.

I have also gotten a chance to spend more time with my family, something that was hard to achieve before the COVID-19 outbreak.What I have learned from the COVID-19One of the lessons that I have learned from the COVID-19 pandemic is that collaboration, partnerships and coordination are key in the fight against infectious diseases. Strong coordination between the national and local response mechanisms with the ministries of education and health has helped to curb the cases of Coronavirus in the US (United Nations Development Programme, 2020).

Humanitarian actors have also greatly been involved in the fight of the pandemic hence making the response stronger. Secondly, I have learned that there is a need to build good demographics and allow proper sharing of information with the people. Due to the proper sharing of information and involvement of the public in their health, the public has been calmer with reduced numbers of anxiety (Pew Research Center, 2020). I have also learned that it is vital to involve the public in solving their problems.

In the case of COVID-19, people have played a major role in participating in screening, contact follow-up, referrals to probable cases, communication initiative, and outbreak monitoring.
