"Cancer Risks on Birth Control" is a perfect example of a paper on cancer. The problem of inadequate uptake of birth control plans among women of reproductive age was shown to be critical because as much procreation in the society is quintessential, it has to go along with the sustainability of the same society. High rates of population growth that are unmatched by similar economic growth imply that there will be a disparity in access to some resources. The adequate uptake of birth control plans and options is therefore important to ensure population growth control, economic sustainability, and equitable access to social development and public health.

Studies examined showed that a significant number of fertile women and those in reproductive age did not have enough information about what options exist when it comes to birth control. On the other hand, another group had the wrong information about the known methods. Overall, there was a concern for the financial aspect of birth control. Under information, misinformation, and cost are therefore highlights as key problems. There were weaknesses to the studies, such as the lack of a definitive guideline to the formulation of relevant advocacy and from the various sources of advocacy such as the health sector and the media.

The studies also do not give details on the ethnic distribution of the concern for uptake of birth control options besides the economic status of the women within the reproductive age bracket. There were also key strengths including the detailed and multifocal approach to the issue as it affects society in terms of cost, education, and health. Of the areas examined, scientific and mathematical were the strongest for my paper because they showed how many fertile women are affected by birth control issues, the problem in the future context, and the possible areas to target for solutions which is significant because it can be used to plan for definitive interventions.

A study in 2018 formed in the European region done by Michels et al., has shown promise in solving this problem by showing that contrary to popular opinion, only some birth control options may have the potential to cause cancer. In fact, some of the birth control plans such as hormones and intra-uterine devices (IUDs) reduce cases of gynecological cancers such as ovarian cancer. The study can be used to educate the fertile women that not all women have the same risk for breast cancer when they use pills, the commonly implicated birth control plan in breast cancers.

Another study in 2017 has been performed in the U.S and it was done by the Cancer Organization, which has shown promise in solving the problem by showing the population that is of critical concern during the development of interventions. The study shows both the local and global focus of the problem and gives insight into the prospective figures in the next half-decade. The study also gives the cost implications that can be a good ground for advocacy actions to solve the problem and in healthcare budgetary allocation to birth control programs and initiatives.

This study is particularly important for social planning because it puts the problem in the scope of the local and global context because birth control has deep social implications that traverse all societies of the world. The study can shed light on the way to overcome current economic obstacles in access and uptake of birth control options among fertile women of reproductive age.
