Various people are always using low doses of alcohol for relaxation and to relieve tension, stress and nervousness. Moreover, in some people consumption of alcohol create stress since the alcohol stimulates stress hormones. The consumption of alcohol affects moods of an individual in various ways and can make an individual to feel sad, happy or aggressive, and it can also make an individual to be in a position of mood swing (NIHSeniorHealth, 2012). Alcoholic beverages are addictive and can lead to dependency where the body will require more alcohol to achieve the preferred effect and to this point is where alcohol interferes with an individual’s life by causing legal, work and social problems. The consumption of alcohol by human beings results in several effects of the body, the effects in most cases may result in mental and physical abrupt changes that may expose the alcohol users to risks related to injuries and death (NIHSeniorHealth, 2012). Possible dangers of the alcohol users include falls, car crashes and household accidents among others. The alcoholic beverages are quickly absorbed in the blood of the consumers where they are circulated all over the body. In most cases, an alcoholic drink takes about two hours after being consumed depending on the consumer’s gender and weight before it starts reacting. However, alcohol does all kinds of reactions in the body depending on the level of consumption. However, when the comparison of men and women taking alcoholic drinks takes place, we get to realize that the effects among the two are different. Older men are more likely to consume alcoholic beverages compared with the old women (HSC, 2013). But, it has come to the realization that women of all ages are often sensitive compared to men in relation to effects of alcohol. This is because women bodies tend to break the alcohol more slowly since they have less water content in their bodies compared to men leading to high the concentration of alcohol. In connection to this, women always become impaired than men after consuming the same amount of alcohol. Long time consumption of alcohol is more likely dangerous to women health than in males’ health. Daily consumption of alcohol increases the risks of breast cancers in most alcoholic women most specifically to those women who have been through menopause and family cancer history (HSC, 2013). However, it always becomes hard to predict how alcohol consumption will create the effect of cancer to a woman. On the other hand, alcohol that has not been broken down by the liver always goes to the rest of the body without an exception of the brain. It is therefore, creating some effects to some parts of the brain that is always in charge of the human movement, speech, memory and judgment (HSC, 2013). This results in difficulty in walking, impulsive behavior, slurred speech and memory lapses to an individual. Further heavy drinking always makes the frontal lobes of the brain shrink leading to thinking problem. This is why the drunken individuals may at times do weird things without regret. Excessive consumption of alcohol results in cancer of the mouth and throat though cigarette takes large portion. The development of the cirrhosis of the liver is related to excessive alcohol consumption and in most cases in may result in liver cancer (HSC, 2013). Alcohol is more effective to female’s liver compared to male’s liver. However, the liver disease that in most cases is referred to as the silent killer takes long period of time in order to develop since the disease in most cases does not provide some symptoms until they reach advanced level. Early involvement in alcohol consumption results in digging big holes of troubles to the underage individuals (Cool Spot, 2015). Early involvement in alcohol in most cases shortens lives of people leading to early deaths (Cool Spot, 2015). The students involve in the consumption of alcoholic beverages always find it hard to school work resulting in poor performances that in some schools leads to discontinuations. Such incidences when they occur in the family bring about tension to the parents, friends and relatives. Early exposure to risks and injuries becomes another issue suggesting why some people are required to stop drinking alcohol (Cool Spot, 2015). When a student involves himself in taking alcohol, he may bring in money problems to the parents through stealing and unnecessary damage to household properties that leads to regular replacement. Homes with heavy consumers of alcohol have less fun and closeness since there are many arguments resulting in family separations and child abuses. This brings in the hole of tension in the family. The consumption of alcohol always affects the immune system. Too much drinking weakens the immune system by making the body prone to diseases. Chronic drinkers of alcohol are more liable to contracts diseases such as tuberculosis and pneumonia. This mainly occurs due to the reduced body ability to ward off even minor infections. Chronic alcohol reduces the ability of the white blood cells to effectively react with the disease causing bacteria’s (Drink Smater, 2015). The excessive alcohol consumption disrupts the production of the cytokines hence making the body to either produce much or few cytokines. The abundance availability of the cytokines damages the body tissues whereas inadequacy of the cytokines exposes the body to infection. Long consumption of on the other side suppresses the development of the T-cells that may lead to damage the ability of NK cells in attacking tumor cells. The reduced function makes an alcohol drinker to be more vulnerable to viruses and bacteria’s hence making the body to be less capable of destroying the cancerous cells (Drink Smater, 2015). Additionally, to this extent, the scientist do not know whether the reduced or abstinence consumption of the alcohol may help to reverse the effect of alcohol to the immune system of the body nevertheless, it is necessary to everyone to avoid consuming alcohol in order to minimize the burden on the immune system most especially to those fighting a viral and bacterial infections. In most cases, the fertility of every individual plays a major role in the continuity of the community. It is therefore necessary for an individual to be fertile (Drink Smater, 2015). Too much consumption of alcohol lowers the level of fertility in both men and women. Alcoholic beverages reduce the chances of becoming pregnant and if it happens by chance one is pregnant, in order to keep the fetus safe in women while on the other side it lowers the sperm count in men. It is therefore required for pregnant women to stop alcohol consumption since it also reduces and affects the menstrual cycle hence reducing chances of conceiving (Drink Smater, 2015). The consumption of alcohol reduces testosterone level making the sperms to lose quality, structure and movement. In connection to this, alcohol consumption reduces the libido (sex drive) and infertility in men. Alcohol consumption on the other side causes pancreatitis that is inflammation of the pancreas, an organ makes enzymes for digestion and cause injuries to the ribs. Taking too much of the alcohol increases the chances of developing bowel and liver cancer (TKRTC, 2014). Cirrhosis (liver damage) is caused by the alcohol consumption. Stroke on the other side is caused by alcohol consumption. High blood pressure is also related to the consumption of the alcohol. High blood pressure is caused by the increase in calories that makes an individual to gain weight which then increases the chances of developing high blood pressure (TKRTC, 2014). The gaining of weight on the other hand may result in the development of the diabetes in the alcohol consumers. The occurrence and development of diabetes in the individuals leading to reduced lifespan since it requires careful following of the diet and daily medications or insulin injections. In summary, the consumptions of the alcohol result to several risks to the consumers. There is a need for the government to lay down rules and regulations to control the consumption of the alcohol to the citizens. We are therefore required to use all force possible to pull out from the consumption of alcohol. We need to be brave and strong enough to advice the alcohol consumers on the effects related to consumption of the alcohol. Community needs to be taught the consequences related to consumption of alcohol with regardless of age and gender. References Drink Smater. (2015). Evry drink adds up to more than you think.
