Extract of sample "Chronic Kidney Disease"

"Chronic Kidney Disease" is an outstanding example of a paper on the endocrine system. Chronic Kidney disease (CKD) is a long-term condition that is characterized by a slow loss of kidney function that occurs gradually. Also known as chronic kidney failure, it does not cause symptoms until its advanced stages. It can only be detected in its earlier stages using blood and urine tests. It affects the ability of the body to remove waste because this is the main function of Kidneys. I selected this topic because CKD is a common condition that affects many people and is associated with aging. It is estimated that 26 million Americans have the condition while many more are at risk of developing it. The significance of this is that many people suffer because of CKD mostly because they are not aware that it can be detected early and prevent further damage. As such, people should be aware of it and seek medical attention early enough so that they can be helped to keep their bodies in check because early detection prevents its progression. The audience that this paper address is people with high blood pressure and diabetes or those at risk of the two diseases because they are the main causes of CKD. The purpose of the paper is to inform the audience of this disease and promote awareness so that people can seek early intervention to prevent complete kidney failure.
