"Leadership in Health Care Organizations Practicum" is an outstanding example of a paper on the health system. When we consider the word love as a verb instead of a feeling, the biblical worldview would state that this loving relationship is related to two principles: honor and protection. Servant leadership observes that a servant leader should have the motivation to lead and also have the need to serve both the organization and the employees. Servant leadership is not about getting satisfaction from being the leader but from serving the people and the organization. This means that a servant leader must possess several attributes or characteristics to be able to lead. Two of these attributes should be honor and protection. Servant leadership is about honoring and protecting human dignity and the ability to promote the common good for all people.

Honor refers to the quality of knowing and doing what is morally right and regarding other people with respect. Servant leadership puts honor as one of its core aspects in the sense that, for a leader to serve people he or she must first understand what is morally right and wrong. Knowing this helps the leader understand what he or she should do and what he or she should not do. However, knowing what is morally right does not just end there in servant leadership. The leader should implement this meaning that he should have respect for those that he serves so that he can act morally right by them. Respect and morality go hand-in-hand and servant leadership emphasizes this because of the fact that people are different in several ways. Therefore, to serve people well in the workplace, the leader must be able to respect them so that he or she cannot favor some and look down upon other people. Knowing what is morally right guides the leader throughout his or her actions and also his or her treatment of others (Trastek, Hamilton & Niles, 2014).

Protecting is also an important aspect of servant leadership. Protecting generally means keeping other people safe from injury or harm. Servant leadership emphasizes protection because the leader has the power to lead and attend to the needs of other people. Therefore, it emphasizes that a leader must be able to protect people because of the power that the leadership position provides him. The workplace is an environment that can have many damaging issues, ranging from physical dangers to emotional issues. When these issues are not handled properly, they may lead to dire consequences and in certain cases death. In light of these, the servant leader has to protect employees at the workplace by using the power accorded to them to ensure that workers operate in an environment free from harassment, overworking, favoritism, and physical aspects that could injure or harm employees. Therefore, the principle of protection ensures that servant leaders put the needs of their employees into consideration so that they can be protected and be aided to perform their roles and responsibilities without interference (DelHousaye & Brewer, 2004).

In conclusion, honor and protection are two principles that servant leadership emphasizes as an aspect of serving people. Because servant leaders take responsibility for their subordinates and others that they lead, they must honor and protect them.
